Why Jews should believe Yahushua is the Mashiach

WHY JEWS SHOULD BELIEVE THAT YAHUSHUA IS THE MASHIACH (pw messiah)
[pw =pagan word]
[H= Strong’s Hebrew]
[G= Strong’s Greek]
Article Last updated 20-01-18

First off, the term “Jew” I find is offensive due to historic uses, so where the word “Jew” is I will replace it with:
H3064
יהוּדי
yehûdı̂y
yeh-hoo-dee'
Patronymic from H3063; a Jehudite (that is, Judaite or Jew), or descendant of Jehudah (that is, Judah): - Jew. In plural Yehudim and Yehudic people.
In the spiritual sense anyone can become a spirtual Yehudiy through the Mashiach if they join in covenant to Yah’uah and keep his To’rah. He is thus a Yehudiy inwardly (circumcision of the heart).

Let's start here:
Acts 4:10  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yahushua Mashiach of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom YHUH raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under shamayim given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The name “Jesus” comes from the Greek pronounced “Yay-soos”. We seem to have ended up with an English version of the Greek version of the Hebrew name for our Mashiach that has no proper meaning. It makes him all the less recognisable to his Yehudic brethren. Jesus just sounds so… gentile! But if Yehudim were to hear his original Hebrew name, Yahushua, a version of Joshua, meaning, Yahuah is Salvation, it might make much more sense to Yehudic ears.

Yahushua and what he is called in Israel
For centuries amongst Hebrew-speaking Yehudim, Yahushua has been known as “Yeshu”, which is an acronym for a curse: “yimakh shemo ve zikhro” which means, “May his name and memory be obliterated”. So much suffering and persecution has been inflicted upon Yehudim in the name of Jesus that his very name became a stumbling block and offence, and He became known as one of the enemies of the Yehudim.

In Israel, Yahushua is commonly called Yeshu, but there are some academics who call him Yeshua, but, sadly, he is often referred to as Yeshu haNotzri, which means “curses on Jesus-the-Christian”. In Israel, he is usually seen as gentile, Christian, and ‘other’. But Yahushua wasn’t a Christian – he wasn’t a Christ follower – he was the Yehudic Mashiach himself! Mary wasn’t a Catholic, and John wasn’t a Baptist: They were all Yehudim! While “Notzri” is the Hebrew word for “Christian”, it actually means one from Nazareth (Natzret in Hebrew). It would be more accurate to say Yahushua me Natzret – Yahushua from Nazareth. It’s close, but worlds away in Israeli perception. Christ is the Greek word for Mashiach, so the fake Jesus Christ has replaced Yahushua HaMashiach.

There are many different branches of Judaism today, it's almost like the numerous denominations in Christianity such as the Pentecostals, Baptists, Charismatic, Prosperity etc. In Judaism a lot, if not most, have rejected Yahushua as the Mashiach and so they look for His coming arrival. They’ve never understood that one Mashiach would fulfil two different roles, what we understand as His first and second coming.

What Is The Mashiach?

The Yehudic word “Mashiach’ means “anointed”. It is commonly translated as “messiah”. Yahushua was immersed in the river by Yochanan the Immerser (John the Baptist) where He received anointing from Yahuah with the Ruach HaKodesh (Qodesh/Holy Spirit).

Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw shamayim opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from shamayim, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Further to this, however, Yahushua was anointed again later in preparation of His death:

Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there
came a woman having an alabaster vase of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the vase, and poured it on his head.
Mar 14:4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
Mar 14:5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
Mar 14:6 And Yahushua said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
Mar 14:7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
Mar 14:8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Mar 14:9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

John11:2 (It was that Miryam which anointed the Master with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
John12:3 Then took Miryam a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Yahushua, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
John 12:7 Then said Yahushua, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

What proof do we have that Yahushua was the Mashiach?
Scripture clearly describes the Mashiach. His ethnic background, place of birth, time-frame of his arrival and other identifying characteristics are given. These “credentials” enable us to identify the Mashiach, and to recognize imposters. Of course it might be objected that if these “credentials” are so clear, why didn’t most Yehudim believe in Yahushua, and why were they so taken in by false Mashiachs like Bar Kochba and Shabbetai Zevi?

To understand this, one must realize that by the time of Yahushua the Mashiach (pw Messianic) hope had become greatly politicized in the minds of the people. They were seeking deliverance from the tyranny of Rome. Although the Scripture spoke both of the sufferings and of the conquests of the Mashiach the conquering aspect had become uppermost in the minds of the common people because of the Roman domination. This unbalanced view of the Mashiach has stuck with Yehudim, and the politicization of the Mashiach (pw Messianic) salvation has continued. The idea of a political rather than a spiritual Mashiach contributes to both the acceptance of people such as Bar Kochba, and the rejection of Yahushua in his role as Mashiach.

This is not to say that all Yehudim rejected the claims of Yahushua. Far from that being the case, all the first followers of Yahushua were Yehudim. In fact, the rabbis of that time period and afterwards were well aware of the many Mashiach (pw Messianic) prophecies which “Christians” claimed were fulfilled in Yahushua. So, for instance, although the Talmudic rabbis concurred that Isaiah 53 was a prediction of the Mashiach, by medieval times the pressure from those who applied this prophecy to Yahushua was so great that Rashi, a medieval Biblical scholar, reinterpreted the chapter and said it referred to the nation of Israel. This false interpretation is maintained today by many Yehudic scholars, though it only dates back to the Middle Ages.

What do Yehudim expect of Mashiach?
According to modern day Yehudim the Mashiach will be a very righteous man from the family of Ruler David with a total commitment to Torah. He will be anointed as Ruler of the Yehudim. He will re-establish the dynasty ofRuler David, rebuild YHUH’s House in Jerusalem, and gather together all the Yehudim from throughout the world to the land of Israel directing all of them to properly observe all of YHUH's laws. He will re-establish the laws of a Yehudic Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom), including the animal offering and other practices. Finally, he will perfect the world, leading all humanity to serve YHUH in unity. The entire world will realize that YHUH is the only Elohim and they will all worship YHUH together. The world will have shalom.

This is the Yehudic version, but what do prophecies really say?

1. YAHUSHUA’S FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES

With the birth of Yahushua, the following Biblical prophesies were fulfilled:

Prophecy: Isaiah 7:14—Isaiah prophesied that a virgin or pure young woman (almah) will give birth to the Promised One.

Isa 7:14 Therefore YHUH himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virginH5959 shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

**NB: If you read Isaiah further you will see that Isaiah's wife does indeed conceive and events play out as prophesied. Yes, the Jewish argument stands, but just like other types and anti-types like Melchisedek and Yahushua, this does not preclude Isa 7:14 from pointing to a future event as well.

Fulfilled: Luke 1:26–31
Luk 1:26 And in the sixth month the malak (angel) Gabriel was sent from YHUH unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Luk 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Yoseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Miryam (Mary)
Luk 1:28 And the malak came to her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, YHUH is with thee: baruched (blessed) art thou among women.

Biblical verses can only be understood by studying the original Hebrew text – which reveals the true meanings and dispels the many created discrepancies in the corrupted English translations.

The virgin birth is criticised by Talmud following Rabbis and Yehudim today. They say “the word "alma" H5959 above has always meant a young woman, but Christian theologians came centuries later and translated it as "virgin." This accords Yahushua’s birth with the first century pagan idea of mortals being impregnated by gods.”

Let’s look more closely at this. In describing Rebekkah, the soon to be wife of Isaac, the following is said in Genesis:

Gen 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin,H1330 neitherH3808 had any manH376 knownH3045 her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

Gen 24:43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virginH5959 cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

H1330
בּתוּלה
bethûlâh
beth-oo-law'
Feminine passive participle of an unused root meaning to separate; a virgin (from her privacy); sometimes (by continuation) a bride; also (figuratively) a city or state: - maid, virgin.

H5959
עלמה
almâh
al-maw'
Feminine of H5958; a lass (as veiled or private): - damsel, maid, virgin.

H3808
לה לוא לא
lô' lô' lôh
lo, lo, lo
lo; a primitive particle; not (the simple or abstract negation); by implication no; often used with other particles: - X before, + or else, ere, + except, ig [-norant], much, less, nay, neither, never, no ([-ne], -r, [-thing]), (X as though . . ., [can-], for) not (out of), of nought, otherwise, out of, + surely, + as truly as, + of a truth, + verily, for want, + whether, without.

H376
אישׁ
'ı̂ysh
eesh
Contracted for H582 (or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant); a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation.) : - also, another, any (man), a certain, + champion, consent, each, every (one), fellow, [foot-, husband-] man, (good-, great, mighty) man, he, high (degree), him

H3045
ידע
yâda‛
yaw-dah'
A primitive root; to know (properly to ascertain by seeing); used in a great variety of senses, figuratively, literally, euphemistically and inferentially: - acknowledge, acquaintance (-ted with), (cause to, let, make) know, (come to give, have, take) knowledge, have [knowledge], (be, make, make to be, make self) known, + be learned, + lie by man,

This all makes it very clear that Rebekkah was a virgin as it describes her as knowing no man, and the word “almah” was also used to describe her untouched state, just as it is used in Isaiah to describe Miryam’s future virginal conception as follows:

Isa 7:14 Therefore YHUH himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virginH5959 shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Fulfilled:
Luk 1:27 To a virginG3933 espoused to a man whose name was Yoseph, of the house of David; and the virgin'sG3933 name was Miryam.

G3933
παρθένος
parthenos
par-then'-os
Of unknown origin; a maiden; by implication an unmarried daughter: - virgin.

Not being a virgin prior to a first marriage had a penalty of stoning associated with it - would Miryam really have taken such a foolish risk? Really now.

But of further interest of it being a foreshadow-type prophecy:
...His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, Elohim (pw God) with us." (Matthew 1:23)

Yes, YHUH is truly with us (those who are loyally covenanted to him) and it was prophesied that YHUH had not forsaken His people - that He would renew his everlasting covenant. The action of Yah'ushua is to, indeed, bring YHUH to us - spirit of reconciliation:

2 Cor 5:19 To wit, that YHUH was in Messiah (my comment - as He now should be in us), reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Messiah, as though YHUH did beseech you by us: we pray you in Messiah (pw Christ)'s stead, be ye reconciled to YHUH (my comment - so that YHUH is within you ).

Do we actually see anybody calling Yah'ushua Emmanuel? Well, not clearly in Greek translation. I believe Paul made reference to Emmanuel, but before we get there :

1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of YHUH: Every spirit that confesseth that Yah'ushua Messiah is come in the flesh is of YHUH:

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predetermine (pw predestinate) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn AMONG MANY brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predetermine, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, THEM HE ALSO MADE HONOURABLE (pw glorified)-

their honor (pw glory) does not detract from YHUH but points to YHUH.

Paul then says:

Rom8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If YHUH be for us, who can be against us?

YHUH Be For Us

El for Us

El with us

Emmanuel.

So, this conforming to the image of the Son of YHUH is what gives Yah'ushua the name Emmanuel, or the authority for us to say YHUH is with us, and not against us, since we are also given the power to become the sons of YHUH. (Just as YHUH was with the southern kingdom of Judah against Syria and Israel in Isaiah above).

Note: if YHUH is not for or with us then we do not get chastised as sons and we are bastards.

Hebrews 12:7 If ye endure chastening, YHUH dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Next Prophecy:

Prophecy: Isaiah 9:6—Isaiah prophesied that Mashiach Yahushua would come as a baby.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder

Fulfilled: Luke 2:4–7
Luk 2:4 And Yoseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto
the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
Luk 2:5 To be taxed with Miryam his espoused wife, being great with child.
Luk 2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
Luk 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Prophecy: Numbers 24:17—Balaam predicts that the Mashiach will descend from the house of Jacob—
I see him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a sceptre will rise out of Israel.”

Fulfilled:
Mat 1:1-25 Yahushua’s geneaology shows His descent all the way from Jacob.

Prophecy: Isaiah 9:7—The Mashiach shall be of the house of David.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and shalom there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his Rule and Reign (pw Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom)), to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The eagerness of YHUH of hosts will perform this.

Fulfilled:
Luk 2:4 And Yoseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

Prophecy: Micah 5:2—Micah prophesied that Yahushua would be born in Bethlehem.
Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Fulfilled: Luke 2:4–7 (as above).

Prophecy: Genesis 49:10—He would be a member of the tribe of Judah—
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between His feet, until tribute comes to Him; and to Him shall be the obedience of the peoples.”

Fulfilled: Matthew 1:1-2.
Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Yahushua Mashiach, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Mat 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;

Prophecy: Malachi 3:1—Yahushua would enter Yahuah’s House (pagan word Temple). This is important because no one would be able to enter Yahuah's House again after it was destroyed in AD 70, less than 40 years after Yahushua's death.
Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and Mashiach, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to YHUH’s House, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith YHUH of hosts.

Fulfilled: Luke 2:21–52 tells us that Yahushua was brought as an infant to Yahuah's House to be consecrated according to YHUH’s law and Simeon is there awaiting His arrival, Anna the prophetess also prophesies his Mashiachship to all who would hear. By age twelve He was quite at home in YHUH”s House discussing matters of YHUH’s law with the “doctors” of the law, thus He even stays behind when his parents leave without them realising it. And daily, Yahushua taught at YHUH”s House when He was in Jerusalem. (Luke 19:47)

Luk 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name
was called YAHUSHUA, which was so named of the malak before he was conceived in the womb.
Luk 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to YHUH;
Luk 2:23 (As it is written in the law of YHUH, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called set apart to YHUH;)
Luk 2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of YHUH, A pair of turtle doves, or two young pigeons.
Luk 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Qodesh Spirit was upon him.
Luk 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Qodesh Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen YHUH’s Mashiach.
Luk 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into YHUH’s House: and when the parents brought in the child Yahushua, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Luk 2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed YHUH, and said,
Luk 2:29 Elohim, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
Luk 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Luk 2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
Luk 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the splendour of thy people Israel.
Luk 2:33 And Yoseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luk 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Luk 2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
Luk 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher: she was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
Luk 2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from YHUH’s House, but served YHUH with fastings and prayers night and day.
Luk 2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto YHUH, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
Luk 2:39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of YHUH, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
Luk 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the chesed of YHUH was upon him.
Luk 2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
Luk 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
Luk 2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Yahushua tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Yoseph and his mother knew not of it.
Luk 2:44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
Luk 2:45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
Luk 2:46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in YHUH’s House, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
Luk 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Luk 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Luk 2:50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
Luk 2:52 And Yahushua increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with YHUH and man.

Luke 19:47 And he taught daily in YHUH’s House. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him

When He took up His ministry He stated the fulfilled prophecy as follows:

Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
4:18 The Spirit of YHUH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the good news to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
4:19 To preach the acceptable year of YHUH.
4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue (pagan word) were fastened on him.
4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Other Prophetic Fulfillment

In addition to fulfilling prophecies of His coming, Yahushua’s life was a declaration of numerous other fulfilled prophetic Scriptures:

Prophecy:
Psa 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Fulfilled:
John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

Acts 1:16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Qodesh Spirit by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Yahushua.

Prophecy:
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
John 6:61 When Yahushua knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Yahushua knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Later on, at the Festival of Dedication, after Yahushua has identified himself as the “good shepherd,” he says,
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I offer them eternal life, and they shall never perish [apolōntai]; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

Judas was no longer following as he no longer believed and he allowed Satan in, hence he
was the only one lost through his own choice to no longer follow the good shepherd.

Fulfilled:
John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John 18:7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Yahushua of Nazareth.
John 18:8 Yahushua answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
John 18:9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

Prophecy:
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Fulfilled:
Mar 14:55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Yahushua to put him to death; and found none.
Mar 14:56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Mar 14:57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Mar 14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy YHUH’s House that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
Mar 14:59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
Mar 14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Yahushua, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
Mar 14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing.

Act 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
Act 8:33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
Act 8:34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
Act 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Yahushua.

Prophecy:
Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Fulfilled:
John 19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Prophecy:
Psalm 69 is a Mashiach (pw Mashiach (pw Messianic)) psalm that describes so graphically His execution. In it the spirit of prophecy had declared, "They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink" (v. 21). This remained yet unaccomplished. The predictions of the previous verses had already received fulfilment. He had sunk in the "deep mire" (v. 2); He had been "hated without a cause" (v. 4); He had "borne reproach and shame" (v. 7); He had "become a stranger unto his brethren" (v. 8); He had become "a proverb" to His revilers, and "the song of the drunkards" (vv. 11, 12); He had "cried unto YHUH" in His distress (vv. 17-20) - and now there remained nothing more than offering him the drink of vinegar and gall, and in order to fulfil this he cried "I thirst."

Fulfilled:
John 19:28 After this, Yahushua, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

How completely self-possessed our Saviour was! He had hung on that execution stake for six hours and had passed through unparalleled suffering, yet His mind is clear and His memory unimpaired. He had before Him, with perfect distinctness, the whole truth of YHUH. He reviewed the entire scope of Mashiach (pw Messianic) prediction. He remembers there is one prophetic scripture unaccomplished. He overlooked nothing. What a proof is this that He was His Father’s supreme overcomer in all circumstances!

Yahushua was our Passover lamb:

Prophecy:
Num 9:12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

Fulfilled:
John19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

Prophecy and fulfilment:
Mat 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Mat 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
Mat 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in Yahuah's House, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Mat 27:6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
Mat 27:7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
Mat 27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
Mat 27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
Mat 27:10 And gave them for the potter's field, as was appointed me.

Prophecies: Yahushua would live a sinless life, die on a Roman execution stake, be numbered with transgressors yet buried with the rich, be raised from the dead, ascend into shamayim, and sit at the right hand of YHUH:

Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my being in sheol; neither wilt thou suffer thy Qodesh One to see corruption.

Isa 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased YHUH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his being an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YHUH shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his being, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Isa 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his being unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Psa 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that YHUH Elohim might dwell among them.

Psa 110:1 A Psalm of David. YHUH said unto my Master, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Fulfilled:

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Mashiach also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Luk 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they executed him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

Mar 15:26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE RULER OF THE YEHUDIM.
Mar 15:27 And with him they executed two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
Mar 15:28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

* Just a note – the Yehudim expected Yahushua to come as their ruler and here they had the superscription still stating such (Pilate did not want to execute Yahushua but had to due to mob pressure, his wife had warned him that he should have nothing to do with a just man’s execution as she had dreamed a dream which showed His innocence – Pilate washed his hands in front of everyone to show it was not his decision to execute Yahushua and the Yehudim mob even shouted – His blood be on us and on our children).

Mat 27:57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Yoseph, who also himself was Yahushua’s disciple:
Mat 27:58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Yahushua. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
Mat 27:59 And when Yoseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
Mat 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

Act 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw Mashiach always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Act 2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in sheol, neither wilt thou suffer thy Qodesh One to see corruption.
Act 2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Act 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that YHUH had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Mashiach to sit on his throne;
Act 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Mashiach, that his soul was not left in sheol, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Act 2:32 This Yahushua hath YHUH raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his splendour, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Prophecy:
Most astounding is the prophecies from Daniel to do with Yahushua’s execution at Jerusalem: (When calculated it would work out to around 32AD)

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Mashiach the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times

Yahushua’s execution and the subsequent destruction of Jerusalem and Yahuah's House in 70 AD as follows:

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Mashiach be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Destruction of Jerusalem and Yahuah's House is all written down in history, Josephus’ History of the Jews is a good source for details of this.

Another fulfilled prophecy would be that He laid down His own life willingly since He foreknew Judas would betray Him - He could have escaped or hidden if He wanted to. It was the will of Yahuah His Father that He should pay for the sins of the whole world with His blood but having been given free will Yahushua could have refused.

Mat 26:23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
Mat 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Mat 26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

There are still numerous other prophecies Yahushua fulfilled which space does not permit here but a further study can be made if time allows you to do so.

Before moving on, just a quick note – other false Mashiachs never had the following occur after
their birth as far as I’m aware:

Mat 2:1 Now when Yahushua was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the Ruler, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born Ruler of the Yehudim? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Luk 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luk 2:9 And, lo, the malak (angel) of Yahuah came upon them, and the splendour of Yahuah shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
Luk 2:10 And the malak said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great gladness, which shall be to all people.
Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Mashiach the Master.
Luk 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the malak a multitude of the host of shamayim praising Yahuah, and saying,
Luk 2:14 Splendour to Yahuah in the highest, and on earth shalom, good will toward men.

Second Coming of the Mashiach
Through Yahushua we have the assurance of our salvation and the promise of eternal life. And He did not accomplish this just to leave us here alone; He sent us the Comforter:

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.” (John 16:7)

He not only sent His Ruach HaKodesh (Qodesh Spirit) to act as a companion and guide to all Believers, He has promised to return.

But first, Yahushua said we should expect many to come claiming to be the Mashiach:

Mat 24:4 And Yahushua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Mashiach; and shall deceive many.

Of interest, even prior to Yahushua there were false Mashiach’s and the counsel of Gamaliel was as follows:

Act 5:34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
Act 5:35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
Act 5:36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
Act 5:37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
Act 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
Act 5:39 But if it be of YHUH, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against YHUH.

Would anyone say that Yahushua’s counsel and work have come to nought? Regardless of the attempted corruption and perversion of His name, teachings by Catholic Christianity, true believers still know the true resurrected Mashiach Yahushua sent by the one Elohim and who follow him as a teacher of To’rah who will return to save his people from eternal death.

There have been false Mashiachs in Yehudic history after Yahushua. Among the most prominent were Bar Kochba and Shabbetai Zevi. Bar Kochba led a revolt against Rome in the years 132-135 AD During this revolt, one of the most infamous figures in Yehudic history, Rabbi Akiva, proclaimed him to be “King Mashiach.” Unfortunately, Bar Kochba, Akiva and thousands of Yehudim were killed in 135 AD when the Romans stormed the stronghold of Betar. Shabbetai Zevi, on the other hand, was a self-proclaimed Mashiach. Flourishing in 17th-century Europe, the Shabbatean movement spread among both the common people and the rabbis. But when Shabbetai Zevi was arrested in 1666 by the Sultan of Turkey, he converted to Islam rather than face death.

Yehudic leaders have been tragically wrong before, so it is not surprising that hard evidence should be sought for believing in Yahushua, but it is of paramount importance that His people are ready for Him as Yahushua indicated that His return would be dramatic and sudden.

Yahushua said:
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:27)

He then continues:
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great splendour. And He will send His malakim with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of shamayim to the other.” (Matthew 24:30–31)

He warns His followers to be vigilant in looking for signs of His coming, comparing His return to the times of Noah and Sodom when everyone went on with their lives oblivious to their spiritual condition. As a result, they lost their lives.

Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

No nonsense like “rapture” here – they all died, except Noah and his family.

Luk 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luk 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from shamayim and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Yahushua also told many parables to help us know the time (unexpected for some) of His Second Coming:
  1. The parable of the man who was not prepared when the thief broke into his house:
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
  1. The ten virgins, five of whom had foolishly not prepared their lamp with sufficient oil (truth) for the coming of the Bridegroom:
Mat 25:1 Then shall the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of shamayim be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Master, Master, open to us.
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

3. The diligent servants who were ready to meet their master:

Luk 12:37 Baruchd are those servants, whom Yahushua when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Luk 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, baruch’d are those servants.

Finally, Matthew 25:31–46 describes the coming of Yahushua and the judgement of the nations, which is also foretold by the Prophet Zechariah.

On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.” (Zechariah 12:3)

Just like in the days of Yahushua’s birth when many Yehudim were eagerly anticipating the coming of the Mashiach, today we look forward to Yahushua’s return.

Prophecies for the Future
What is the Mashiach supposed to accomplish in the future? Some Yehudim misunderstand and attribute the following prophecies solely to Mashiach, and yet, if you read them carefully it becomes clear YHUH is the one mostly responsible for bringing these things to pass in the last days. One of the central themes of Scriptural prophecy is the promise of a future age of perfection characterized by shalom for all nations and recognition of YHUH Elohim as supreme and only Elohim.

Isa 2:1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of YHUH'S House shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of YHUH, to the house of Elohim of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of YHUH from Jerusalem.
Isa 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Isa 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Isa 32:16 Then judgement shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be shalom; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a shalom filled habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Isa 60:15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of Rulers: and thou shalt know that I YHUH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Isa 60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers shalom, and thine exactors righteousness.
Isa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of YHUH, to serve him with one consent.

Hos 2:20 I will even betroth thee unto me in trustworthiness: and thou shalt know YHUH.
Hos 2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will respond, saith YHUH, I will respond to the shamayim, and they shall respond to the earth;
Hos 2:22 And the earth shall respond to the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall respond to Jezreel (the seed sown by Yahuah).

Amo 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith YHUH, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
Amo 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
Amo 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith YHUH thy Elohim.

Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of YHUH shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YHUH, and to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of YHUH from Jerusalem.
Mic 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Mic 4:4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of YHUH of hosts hath spoken it.

Zec 8:23 Thus saith YHUH of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Yehudiy, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that Elohim is with you.

Zec 14:9 And YHUH shall be Ruler over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Elohim, and His name one.

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHUH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother,
saying, Know YHUH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of
them, saith YHUH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Eze 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of shalom with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Eze 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.
Eze 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I YHUH do purify Israel, when my dwelling place shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

This does not say it is Mashiach building a physical House of YHUH as some Yehudim expect Him to do – YHUH will be descending with the New Jerusalem upon the new earth from shamayim once the old world burns away.

Nah 1:5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
Nah 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
Nah 1:7 YHUH is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nah 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

Dan 2:44 And in the days of these rulers shall the Elohim of shamayim set up a Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom), which shall never be destroyed: and the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these Rulerships (pw Kingdoms), and it shall stand for ever.

Again, YHUH will gather all Yehudim back to the Land of Israel as He states it, not Mashiach.

Isa 43:5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
Isa 43:6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

We all know YHUH will enable the spread of worldwide knowledge of Elohim of Israel through His Ruach Hakodesh in people, which will unite His people as one. As it says:
"Elohim will be Ruler over all the world – on that day, Elohim will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).

YHUH’s role and Mashiach’s role in bringing in the future New Jerusalem must not be confused.

Psa 102:25 YHUH of old hast laid the foundation of the earth: and the shamayim are the work of thy hands.
Psa 102:26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
Psa 102:27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

This is YHUH – He created and he can un-create to re-create as He needs to in time to come. The Mashiach has a more finite role to play as prescribed by YHUH, His Father and His Elohim. We cannot ascribe prophesies allocated to YHUH for the Mashiach and then say Yahushua is not Mashiach as He did not fulfil prophecies which have been clearly allocated to YHUH. (And Yahuah is not Yahushua - only Catholics invent such unscriptural lies. (See my article Why Jesus is not God / Yah’ushua is not Elohim).

Yahushua is not trying to start up His own Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom), He hands everything to YHUH once He has fulfilled the role prescribed by His Father fully, as follows:
1Cor 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (Yahushua conquered death when he was raised again to everlasting life by YHUH)
1Cor 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him (namely, YHUH).
1Cor 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that YHUH may be all in all.

Because of these unrealistic expectations of Mashiach the Yehudim still await the coming of the Mashiach, they missed Him. Yahushua has been rejected by them as Mashiach due to their own skewed ideas.

Scripture supposedly shows no proof of a second coming of Mashiach (as Yehudim refute Mashiach already came as Yahushua), and yet this is not true. While the prophecies of the Old Covenant certainly describe both the first and second coming, most early interpretations of these prophecies melded them into a single event. Particularly during the years leading up to Yahushua’s birth it was assumed Mashiach would be a political / military figure with an immediate worldly kingdom.

Luke 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of YHUH should immediately appear.

Yehudic sources are fallible in comparison to Scripture. In the Bible there is a concept of a second coming, namely, at the end of days when nations rise up against Israel to destroy it and YHUH will defend Israel. As follows:

Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Then, most interesting is the spiritual awakening of Israel in these last days:
Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of chesed and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

This cannot be corporate Israel that’s being mourned for as they are the ones “upon the House of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem” who are doing the mourning. Yehudim will be mourning for an individual (as the language used is clearly talking of an individual – who else would it be but Yahushua who they failed to recognise and put to death and whom they wish to return to them?

Verse 10 “whom they have pierced”:
1)He was pierced in the hands with nails.
2)He was pierced in the feet with nails.
3)He was pierced with thorns upon the head.
4)He was pierced with a spear in his side.

There is a condition to Yahushua’s return, the Yehudim must ask for His return as follows:

Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Mat 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Mat 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Baruch’d is he that cometh in the name of YHUH.

They will not be calling for Yeshu but for Yahushua, Yahuah is Salvation!

Yes, there are prophecies in the scripture which are to be fulfilled by Mashiach in the last days
in the future upon his second coming. Sadly the majority of people in Israel will only have the
veil removed from their eyes in those last days and then they will weep and mourn when the realisation hits them.

It’s well known that there are many different schools of thought amongst Rabbis of Israel. As Rabbis in the past studied prophetic writings concerning the Mashiach they realised that most prophecies seem to fall into two categories, the Mashiach was to be both someone who died on our behalf and a Redeemer who would be victorious and rule forever over the Mashiach (pw Messianic) Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom). To explain what seemed to be a contradiction they concluded with the false assumption that there must then be two different Mashiachs, the one who would suffer and die was given the title Mashiach ben Yosef (Mashiach, son of Yoseph), and one who would reign as Ruler was given the title Mashiach ben David (Mashiach, son of David).

The Suffering Servant Mashiach: Mashiach ben Yoseph

True followers of Yahuah believe that Isaiah chapter 53 refers to Yahushua, as the "suffering servant." Keep in mind Isaiah 53 begins at Isaiah 52:13 – in older Bibles there were no breaks. Some Rabbinic Yehudim believe the prophecies are written in the singular form because the Yehudim ("Israel") are regarded as one unit hence this chapter is supposedly referring only to corporate Israel as the suffering servant. Let’s check out this theory of theirs:

Isa 52:13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
Isa 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any manH376, and his form more than the sons of men:
Isa 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the Rulers shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YHUH revealed?
Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up (from a baby born) before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not (how true of Yahushua).
Isa 53:4 Surely heH1931 hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of YHUH, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our shalom was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way (there’s not one fully righteous naturally born man); and YHUH hath laid on himH853 the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living (had to fully die which Israel has not): for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Isa 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death (since when has israel done this?); because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased YHUH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YHUH shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many (in all of Israel there is no one righteous enough for this, not one due to original sin, let alone the whole nation of Israel being righteous enough to be offered as atonement to forgive trangressions of all); for he shall bear their iniquities.
Isa 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death (again, Israel has not fully died): and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many (includes those outside of Israel- ie. the world), and made intercession for the transgressors.

Here Isaiah clearly talks of an individual “man”

H376
אישׁ
'ı̂ysh
eesh
Contracted for H582 (or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant); a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation.) : - also, another, any (man), a certain, + champion, consent, each, every (one), fellow, [foot-, husband-] man, (good-, great, mighty) man, he, high (degree), him (that is), husband, man [-kind], + none, one, people, person, + steward, what (man) soever, whoso (-ever), worthy. Compare H802.

H1931
היא הוּא
hû' hı̂y'
hoo, he
The second form is the feminine beyond the Pentateuch; a primitive word, the third person pronoun singular, he (she or it); only expressed when emphatic or without a verb; also (intensively) self, or (especially with the article) the same; sometimes (as demonstrative) this or that; occasionally (instead of copula) as or are: - he, as for her, him (-self), it, the same, she (herself), such, that (. . . it), these, they, this, those, which (is), who.

H853
את
'êth
ayth
Apparently contracted from H226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely): - (As such unrepresented in English.)

Supposedly throughout scripture Israel is repeatedly called, in the singular, the "Servant of Elohim" and Rabbis say that Isaiah states no less than 11 times in the chapters prior to Isaiah 53 that the Servant of Elohim is Israel.

In fact, “servant” is used throughout scripture for multiple purposes of YHUH as and when He so desired those purposes. As follows:

Isa 20:3 And YHUH said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;

Isa 22:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:

Isa 37:35 For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's
sake.

Isa 44:26 That confirmeth the word of his servant (Isaiah), and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:

Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant (Mashiach) to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Isa 49:7 Thus saith YHUH, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Qodesh One (Mashiach), to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Rulers shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of YHUH that is faithful, and the Qodesh One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

Isa 50:10 Who is among you that feareth YHUH, that obeyeth the voice of his servant (Isaiah), that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of YHUH, and stay upon his Elohim.

Isa 52:13 Behold, my servant (Mashiach) shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant (Mashiach) justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Even Cyrus is called YHUH’s Shepherd at one point as follows (which ties in to the Daniel prophecy cited earlier under prophecies):

Isa 44:28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to YHUH’s House, Thy foundation shall be laid

Psalm 44 is given by the Rabbis as an example as to why Israel is the one being bruised and killed for our iniquities in Isaiah. However, there is a big difference – singular is not used, rather, plural:

Psa 44:11 Thou hast given us like sheepH6629 appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
Psa 44:12 Thou sellest thy peopleH5971 for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.

This talks of the collective:

H6629
צאון צאןo
tsô'n tse'ôn
tsone, tseh-one'
From an unused root meaning to migrate; a collective name for a flock (of sheep or goats); also figuratively (of men): - (small) cattle, flock (+ -s), lamb (+ -s), sheep ([-cote, -fold, -shearer, -herds]).

H5971
עם
am
am
From H6004; a people (as a congregated unit); specifically a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively a flock: - folk, men, nation, people.

This idea that developed in the Middle Ages that Israel as a nation would suffer for the sins of the world developed partially out of the need to help answer the question: Who else could be the promised Yehudic Mashiach besides Yahushua? (Even though the grammar is clear it is speaking of a singular person and not a plural nation).

Rabbis will say Isaiah 53 supposedly means that when the Yehudim are redeemed by YHUH the nations will recognize and accept responsibility for the inordinate suffering and death of the Yehudim and will mourn for what they have done to Israel. Not!

As can be seen above, if read properly, the inhabitants of Jerusalem (Israel) are mourning an individual man, there is no mention of the other nations mourning anything. Not only that, if Tel Aviv is recognised as the gay/lesbian capital of the world today and that’s an overview of Israel’s current lost secular state, how would any of their deaths redeem the sins of anyone? How ludicrous. Original sin makes any human atonement unacceptable to YHUH. YHUH does not want human “sacrifice” - He abhorred the child sacrifices made to Baal etc. Yahushua offered Himself willingly and gave His life for us in agreement with YHUH for our sakes. People being killed against their will in war, etc, is not exactly what can be seen as an acceptable offering to YHUH to redeem anyone.

Nations will not mourn who have come against Israel but all will be forced to bow before us who are true Israel (Yehudim).

Rev3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Yehudim, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee

The Mashiach (pw Messianic) interpretation of Isaiah 53 was common before and during the days of Yahushua. The Renewed Covenant writers (most of whom were Yehudim) address this in at least seven passages as follows:

Mat 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Mar 15:28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

Luk 22:37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

Joh 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
Joh 12:38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Master, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of YHUH been revealed?

Act 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth
Act 8:33 In his humiliation his judgement was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Elohim, who hath believed our report?

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1Pe 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Captain of your souls.

Of importance to note is that certain ancient Rabbis refuted the lies regarding Isaiah 53 which only got strong adherence in 13th century onward. In a strongly worded 14th century commentary, Rabbi Moshe Kohen ibn Crispin said:
"[In contrast to those] having forsaken the knowledge of our Teachers, and inclined after the 'stubbornness of their own hearts', and of their own opinion, I am pleased to interpret the parasha [Isaiah 53], in accordance with the teaching of our Rabbis, of the King Messiah...and adhere to the literal sense. Thus I will be free from forced and far-fetched interpretations of which others are guilty ."

Similarly, Moses Alshech, a 16th century rabbi, preacher, and Bible commentator said, “Our rabbis with one voice accept and affirm the opinion that the prophet [Isaiah] is here [chapter 53] speaking of the Messiah.”

Numerous rabbinic commentators also take for granted that Isaiah 52:13–53:12 refers to the Messiah.

The following quotes are gleaned from traditional rabbinic sources:

“He, Messiah, shall intercede for man’s sins, and the rebellious, for his sake, shall be forgiven.”  (Jerusalem Targum on Isaiah 53:12)

“And when Israel is sinful, the Messiah seeks for mercy upon them as it is written, ‘By his stripes we were healed,’ and ‘he carried the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.’”  (Genesis Rabbah on Isaiah 53:5, 12)

Anyway, of interest as well is that Matthew breaks with Yehudic tradition in two ways whilst giving the genealogy of Yahushua: he skips names, and he mentions names of women. Matthew mentions four different women in his genealogy: Tamar, the wife of Judah; Rahab; Ruth and Bathsheba. Why does he mention these four when there are so many other prominent Yehudic women whom he could have mentioned? One thing that the four women had in common was that they were all Gentile. What Matthew was doing by naming these four women was to point out that one of the purposes of the coming of Yahushua was not only to save the lost sheep of the House of Israel but also that Gentiles would benefit from His coming. Three of these women were guilty of specific sexual sins: one was guilty of adultery; one was guilty of prostitution; and one was guilty of incest. Again, Matthew begins hinting at a point he makes quite clear later; that the purpose of the coming of the Mashiach was to save sinners who repent.
Now, Mashiach (pw Messianic) interpretation continued during the creation of the Talmud which was finished around 400AD. Many other ancient Yehudic writings support the view that Isaiah 53 is a Mashiach (pw Messianic) passage.

Today both different interpretations are taught inside of Judaism. Recently a sect of Ultra Orthodox Yehudim (Lubavitchers) in New York believed (and still believe) that their Chief Rabbi Menachem Scneerson was the Mashiach. When he died in 1994 they turned to Isaiah 53 to predict his resurrection and ascent to the throne of Jerusalem.

Anybody but Yahusua will do, apparently.

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Mashiach ben Yoseph is an interesting title as Yahushua’s adoptive father was called Yoseph. Though not a physical descendent of Yoseph, Yahushua is seen as a descendent in figurative, symbolic and prophetic sense. Also interesting is the Yoseph of Egypt who was rejected and betrayed by his brothers and who was later exalted by the Gentiles, similarly, so was Yahushua. Nevertheless some Yehudim and Rabbis today do still refer to Isaiah 53 and Zechariah 12:10 as portrayals of a suffering Mashiach

Mashiach ben David
There are similarities between Ruler David and Mashiach’s Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom). These would include, Ruler David through a covenant with YHUH founded an everlasting dynasty. He also expanded the borders of Israel and planned to build a house for YHUH.

Rulers (pw kings) are anointed. Jer 23:5 speaks of Mashiach’s Rulership.

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith YHUH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a Ruler (pw King) shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Isaiah 11:1-10 and Psalm 72:1-19 clearly foretell of a Mashiach coming to bring shalom and prosperity worldwide even to the animal world, establishing a Mashiach (pw Messianic) Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) over Israel.

Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of YHUH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YHUH
Isa 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of YHUH: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Isa 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Isa 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my qodesh mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of YHUH, as the waters cover the sea.
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be splendid.

Shalom and rest are to be found in Sabbath keeping as prescribed by YHUH and kept by Yahushua.

Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a signH226 between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YHUH that doth sanctify you.

The true Nation of Israel with Mashiach Yahushua will continue keeping Sabbaths throughout eternity with YHUH.

Other references of Mashiach’s rulership are found here:

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
Dan 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and splendour, and a Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom), that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) that which shall not be destroyed.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder

Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and YHUH Elohim shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Rev 19:11 And I saw shamayim opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in shamayim followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Elohim.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, RULER OF RULERS, AND MASTER OF MASTERS.

All in all, the Hebrew Scriptures indicate that the Promised One would appear, be cut off, and then reappear in victory. The first coming has occurred; the second is still in the future. Both the Everlasting Covenant (OT) and Renewed Everlasting Covenant (NT) predict a second coming of the Mashiach.

When the Mashiach came the first time he came “lowly and riding upon an ass”. This is what the Talmud teaches in Sanh.98a. When he comes the second time he will rule as Ruler of Rulers.

There was a question asked of Rabbi Joshua concerning the coming of the Mashiach. It was asked of him whether the Mashiach would come “with the clouds of Shamayim” as Daniel said Dan 7:13 (above), or “lowly and riding upon the ass” as Zech 9:9: Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy Ruler cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Rabbi Joshua responded: “If they are meritorious he will come with the clouds of Shamayim; if not, lowly and riding upon an ass”. (Talmud Sanh 98a.)

The Yehudim of the time were thus not meritorious as Yahushua did the following:

Mat 21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Yahushua two disciples,
Mat 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
Mat 21:3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Master hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
Mat 21:4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Mat 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Ruler (pw King) cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting
upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Even Yahushua knew His people were not ready for Him at that time. As follows:
Luk 19:32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
Luk 19:33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
Luk 19:34 And they said, The Master hath need of him.
Luk 19:35 And they brought him to Yahushua: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Yahushua thereon.
Luk 19:36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
Luk 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise Elohim with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Luk 19:38 Saying, Baruch’d be the Ruler that cometh in the name of YHUH: shalom in shamayim, and splendour in the highest.
Luk 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Luk 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their tongues the stones would immediately cry out.
Luk 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Luk 19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy shalom! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knew not the time of thy visitation.
Luk 19:45 And he went into Yahuah's House, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
Luk 19:46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house (referring to YHUH’s House) is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Luk 19:47 And he taught daily in YHUH’s House. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Luk 19:48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Way back in Beireshit (Genesis), Israel (Yacob) had this to say about the latter days of Yehudah (Judah) from whom the yehudim descended:

Gen 49:10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Gen 49:11  Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Mmh, much to think about there.

Followers of Yahushua know there are not two different Mashiachs but rather one who appears at two different times. It follows to reason then that He is next to return triumphant with the host of shamayim to overthrow all evil in the present world.

2. YAHUSHUA EMBODIED THE PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF MESSIAH
A. Mashiach as Prophet

The Mashiach will become the greatest prophet in history, alike to Moses, as YHUH states:

Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of YHUH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YHUH;

Isa 49:7 Thus saith YHUH, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Qodesh One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Rulers shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of YHUH that is trustworthy, and the Qodesh One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
Isa 49:8 Thus saith YHUH, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Isa 49:9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
Isa 49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath chesed (mercy) on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
Isa 49:11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
Isa 49:12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
Isa 49:13 Sing, O shamayim; and be glad, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for YHUH hath comforted his people, and will have chesed upon his afflicted.

In reference to the above, Yahushua announced Himself as follows:
Luk 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of YHUH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set free them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of YHUH.
Luk 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the elder, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Luk 4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at these words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Yoseph's son?
Luk 4:23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
Luk 4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
Luk 4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elisha, when shamayim was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
Luk 4:26 But unto none of them was Elisha sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
Luk 4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

This should say something against all the fake “healings” being televised all around the world in the prosperity charismatic tele-evangelist church cults that have mushroomed up in the recent decades.

Now, some Yehudim will quote Maimonides – Teshuva 9:2
Prophecy can only exist in Israel when the land is inhabited by a majority of world Jewry, a situation which has not existed since 300 BCE. During the time of Ezra, when the majority of Yehudim remained in Babylon, prophecy ended upon the death of the last prophets – Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.”

I do not follow man’s philosophy, Maimonides is not scripture, it is fallible. There is nothing in accepted Scripture (Genesis to Revelations) that says prophecy can exist only with a majority of Yehudim in Israel.

To show the fallibility of Maimonides – he also said the following:
Maimonides, Mishnah Torah, (Moznaim Publishing Corporation, Brooklyn, New York, 1990, Chapter 10, English Translation), p. 184:
"Accordingly, if we see an idolater (gentile) being swept away or drowning in the river, we should not help him. If we see that his life is in danger, we should not save him."

The Hebrew text of the Feldheim 1981 edition of Mishnah Torah states this as well.

Immediately after Maimonides' admonition that it is a duty for Yehudim not to save a drowning or perishing gentile, he informs us of the Talmudic duty of Yehudim towards “Christians”, and also towards Yehudim who deny the Talmud. Maimonides, Mishnah Torah, (Chapter 10), p. 184:

"It is a mitzvah [religious duty], however, to eradicate Yehudic traitors, minnim, and apikorsim, and to cause them to descend to the pit of destruction, since they cause difficulty to the Yehudim and sway the people away from God, as did Jesus of Nazareth and his students, and Tzadok, Baithos, and their students. May the name of the wicked rot."

The Yehudic publisher's commentary accompanying the preceding statement of Maimonides states that Jesus (Yah’ushua) was an example of a min (heretic) (plural: minnim). The commentary also states that the students of Tzadok were defined as those Yehudim who deny the truth of the Talmud and who uphold only the written law (i.e. the Old Testament).

It goes on:
Jesus of Nazareth who aspired to be the Mashiach and was executed by the court was also alluded to in Daniel's prophecies, as ibid. 11:14 states: 'The vulgar among your people shall exalt themselves in an attempt to fulfill the vision, but they shall stumble.'Can there be a greater stumbling block than Christianity? All the prophets spoke of Mashiach as the redeemer of Israel and their savior who would gather their dispersed and strengthen their observance of the mitzvot. In contrast, Christianity caused the Yehudim to be slain by the sword, their remnants to be scattered and humbled, the Torah to be altered, and the majority of the world to err and serve a god other than the Lord.”

According to this Maimonides declaration regarding prophecy, Yahushua appeared on the scene approximately 350 years after prophecy had ended, and thus he could not be a prophet.

This is man’s teaching, not Scriptural. Scripture states:

Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Shimon (Peter) re-iterated after Yahushua’s death that He was the one spoken of in Deuteronomy.

Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of YHUH;
Act 3:20 And he shall send Yahushuah Mashiach, which before was preached unto you:
Act 3:21 Whom shamayim must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which Elohim hath spoken by the mouth of all his qodesh prophets since the world began.
Act 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall YHUH your Elohim raise up
unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

And Daniel prophesied when he should appear:
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Mashiach the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Mashiach be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and YHUH’s House; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

When calculations are done from historical dates it comes to around 32AD – it cannot be disputed.

What about the Apocryphal Wisdom of Solomon written between the time of Malachi and Matthew? It speaks of Mashiach and is described by Jewish Encyclopedia.com as having been written between 1st century B.C to 1st century AD. Kaufmann Kohler states: “Apocryphal book written in Alexandria about the middle of the first century B.C. That it was composed in Greek by an Alexandrian Jew has been conclusively shown by Freudenthal.”

Irenaeus cited the Book of Wisdom as being scripture inspired of YHUH - Wisdom leaves you with a distinct feeling that it’s speaking of the first coming of Mashiach where he's going to be very badly treated, the suffering servant Mashiach.
I won't post all of Wisdom 2 here but relevant verses in context.
Wisdom 2:1 For the wicked said, reasoning with themselves, but not aright, Our life is short and tedious, and in the death of a man there is no remedy: neither was there any man known to have returned from the grave. 2 For we are born at all adventure: and we shall be hereafter as though we had never been: for the breath in our nostrils is as smoke, and a little spark in the moving of our heart: 3 Which being extinguished, our body shall be turned into ashes, and our spirit shall vanish as the soft air, 4 And our name shall be forgotten in time, and no man shall have our works in remembrance, and our life shall pass away as the trace of a cloud, and shall be dispersed as a mist, that is driven away with the beams of the sun, and overcome with the heat thereof. 5 For our time is a very shadow that passeth away; and after our end there is no returning: for it is fast sealed, so that no man cometh again. 6 Come on therefore, let us enjoy the good things that are present: and let us speedily use the creatures like as in youth. 7 Let us fill ourselves with costly wine and ointments: and let no flower of the spring pass by us: 8 Let us crown ourselves with rosebuds, before they be withered: 9 Let none of us go without his part of our voluptuousness: let us leave tokens of our joyfulness in every place: for this is our portion, and our lot is this. 10 Let us oppress the poor righteous man, let us not spare the widow, nor reverence the ancient gray hairs of the aged. 11 Let our strength be the law of justice: for that which is feeble is found to be nothing worth. 12 Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous; because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education. 13 He professeth to have the knowledge of Elohim: and he calleth himself the child of Elohim. 14 He was made to reprove our thoughts. 15 He is grievous unto us even to behold: for his life is not like other men's, his ways are of another fashion. 16 We are esteemed of him as counterfeits: he abstaineth from our ways as from filthiness: he pronounceth the end of the just to be baruch’d (pw blessed), and maketh his boast that Elohim is his father. 17 Let us see if his words be true: and let us prove what shall happen in the end of him. 18 For if the just man be the son of Elohim, he will help him, and deliver him from the hand of his enemies. 19 Let us examine him with despitefulness and torture, that we may know his meekness, and prove his patience. 20 Let us condemn him with a shameful death: for by his own saying he shall be respected. 21 Such things they did imagine, and were deceived: for their own wickedness hath blinded them. 22 As for the mysteries of Elohim, they knew them not: neither hoped they for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless souls.
At that time in history only Yahushua ever declared himself as son of YHUH and for this He was executed.

Mat 26:63 But Yahushua kept silent. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living Elohim, that thou tell us whether thou be the Mashiach, the Son of YHUH.
Mat 26:64 Yahushua saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of shamayim.
Mat 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

B. Descendant of David

Many prophetic passages speak of a descendant of Ruler David who will rule Israel during a future age of perfection.

Isa 11:1-10 as quoted above.

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith YHUH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a Ruler shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, YHUH TSEDEQKEINU (OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS).

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jer 30:8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith YHUH of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
Jer 30:9 But they shall serve YHUH their Elohim, and David their Ruler, whom I will raise up unto them.

Jer 33:14 Behold, the days come, saith YHUH, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

Eze 34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Eze 34:17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith YHUH; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
Eze 34:18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
Eze 34:19 And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
Eze 34:20 Therefore thus saith YHUH unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
Eze 34:21Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
Eze 34:22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
Eze 34:24 And I YHUH will be their Elohim, and my servant David a prince among them; I YHUH have spoken it.
Eze 34:25 And I will make with them a covenant of shalom, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
Eze 34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of baruch.
Eze 34:27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am YHUH, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
Eze 34:28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
Eze 34:29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
Eze 34:30 Thus shall they know that I YHUH their Elohim am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith YHUH.
Eze 34:31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your Elohim, saith YHUH.

Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith YHUH; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
Eze 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one Ruler shall be Ruler to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two Rulerships (pw Kingdoms) any more at all:
Eze 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their Elohim.
Eze 37:24 And David my servant shall be Ruler over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
Eze 37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
Eze 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of shalom with them; it shall be an everlasting
covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my purified place in the midst of them for evermore.

Hos 3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a Ruler, and without a prince, and without an offering, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
Hos 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek YHUH their Elohim, and David their Ruler; and shall fear YHUH and his goodness in the latter days.

The Mashiach must be descended on his father's side from Ruler David.
Jer 33:17 For thus saith YHUH; David shall never lack a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
Jer 33:18 Neither shall the priests the Levites lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
Jer 33:19 And the word of YHUH came unto Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 33:20 Thus saith YHUH; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
Jer 33:21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
Jer 33:22 As the host of shamayim cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
Jer 33:23 Moreover the word of YHUH came to Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 33:24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which YHUH hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
Jer 33:25 Thus saith YHUH; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of shamayim and earth;
Jer 33:26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have chesed on them.

Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Some Yehudim believe that the “Christian” claim that Yahushua was the product of a virgin birth means he had no earthly father and thus could not have possibly fulfilled the Mashiach (pw Messianic) requirement of being descended on his father's side from Ruler David. Let’s analyze this.

As we know how strict society was in Yoseph and Miryam’s time it must be remembered that in order to prevent Miryam’s stoning as an adulteress Yoseph acknowledged Yahushua as his son publicly and He was later seen as such by society.

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Yahushua Mashiach was on this wise: When as his mother Miryam was espoused to Yoseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Qodesh Spirit.
Mat 1:19 Then Yoseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public
example, was minded to put her away privily.
Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the malak of YHUH appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Yoseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Miryam thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Qodesh Spirit.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name YAHUSHUA: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of YHUH by the prophet, saying,
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, Elohim with us.
Mat 1:24 Then Yoseph being raised from sleep did as the malak of YHUH had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Yahushua.

Luk 3:23 And Yahushua himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Yoseph, which was the son of Heli,
Luk 3:26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Judah,

Luk 4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at these words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Yoseph's son?

John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Yahushua of Nazareth, the son of Yoseph.

Joh 6:42 And they said, Is not this Yahushua, the son of Yoseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that he saith, I came down from shamayim?

First and foremost, we need to understand that Yahushua the Mashiach was a Yehudiy. He was born the son of Mary and Yoseph, both of whom were devout Yehudim. Yoseph was a "just man" (Matt. 1:19), which means he observed the laws of YHUH Elohim steadfastly (see Psalm 119:172). When the magi came to see the Mashiach, they asked Herod,

"Where is the one who has been born Ruler of the Yehudim?" (Matt. 2:2).

Yahushua was brought up in the emunah (pw faith) of his fathers, the emunah of Yoseph and Miryam - the teachings of 1st Century Yehudism. The congregation which existed in Judea at that time was the "congregation of Israel," and the main teachers were known as Pharisees. The Sadducees were a small, offshoot cult which numbered some members among the priesthood and the well-to-do. They were politically motivated, and harsh in their teachings. However, the whole nation of Judea followed the teachings of the Pharisees who created the system of synagogue worship throughout the land. Even the Sadducees feared the Pharisees, because all the multitudes followed them. They were responsible for preserving the service in YHUH’s House, the Scriptures, and the laws of YHUH Elohim, handed down from generation to generation.

The third sect was the Essenes, who withdrew from society as they felt the Pharisees and Sadducees running things had become corrupt. They lived in communes down by the Dead Sea, in the desert near Qumran. They developed their own calendar, rejected the priesthood and the “Temple Worship”, and kept mainly to themselves, as a class of "hermits" with very strict codes and regulations.

The Pharisees, as the predominant religious group in Judea were to preserve the religion of Israel, descended from the time of Ezra the scribe. Their very name means the "separated ones." They endeavoured to uphold the truth of YHUH Elohim during the apostacy of the priesthood against Hellenism during the time of Antiochus Epiphanes.

Since Yoseph and Miryam lived by the tenets of the religion of their forefathers, they lived by the laws and observed all the feasts and fasts and Sabbath days of YHUH Elohim devoutly as taught by the Pharisees. As Yahushua the Mashiach was brought up, therefore, and taught as a youth, he was obviously brought up in the teachings and doctrine of the Pharisees. Very likely he was educated by Rabbis who were of the School of Hillel. We know (as quoted earlier in prophecies above) that his wisdom and knowledge, even when he was 12 years old, astonished the Doctors of the Law and Pharisees since he was anointed by the Ruach of his Father.

When Yahushua began His ministry, however, many of the Pharisees did not accept him. Many who were in power and authority in Jerusalem looked upon him as an "outsider," an interloper, as one who threatened their power and security. They vehemently denounced him. When they saw his miracles they ridiculed them. When Yahushua healed a demon-possessed man who was both blind and mute, the common people were astonished, and wondered, "Could this be the Son of David?" But the majority of the Pharisees, who by this time had been infiltrated by hypocrites and wicked men, rejected the evidence before their very eyes, and exclaimed,

"It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons" (Matt. 12:22-23).

Curse of Jeconiah?

According to the prophet Jeremiah, Jeconiah (a descendant of Ruler David), had come under a curse and made David’s seed through Jeconiah invalid to serve as Ruler:

Thus says YHUH, “Write this man down childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no man of his descendants will prosper sitting on the throne of David or ruling again in Judah”

Since Yoseph was from that line, no physical son of Yoseph could inherit the throne of David.
Matthew records that the genealogical line of Yoseph himself goes back to Ruler David:

Matthew 1:6-16, selections.
David the ruler begot Solomon… Josiah became the father of Jeconiah… Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, … Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Yoseph the husband of Miryam, of who was born Yahushua who is called Mashiach”

However, as Yoseph was not his true physical father but rather Yahushua’s legal guardian, then Yoseph provides a legal tie to the line of David for Yahushua. In fact, since the Mashiach was prophesied to be “virgin-born”, this is the very way the lineage would have had to have been worked out. The fact that the true Mashiach not only had to be a son of David, but virgin-born as well narrows down the field quite a bit. Besides Yahushua who qualifies for the position?

Besides this it is possible that Elohim reversed the curse on Jeconiah’s family. This is hinted at by the prophet Haggai, who told Zerubbabel, Jeconiah’s grandson, that Elohim would make him a “signet ring” on Elohim’s hand (Haggai 2:23). Zerubbabel was baruched by Elohim as the governor of Judea, and he prospered in that role when the Yehudic exiles returned to Jerusalem. The “signet ring” imagery of Jeconiah’s curse is repeated in Zerubbabel’s baruch, which must be more than coincidence. It is thought that Jeconiah repented in Babylon and that Elohim forgave him and lifted the curse, as is hinted at here:

2Ki 25:27 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin (Jeconiah) Ruler of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach Ruler of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin Ruler of
Judah out of prison;
2Ki 25:28 And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the Rulers that were with him in Babylon;
2Ki 25:29 And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
2Ki 25:30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the Ruler, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

Jer 28:2 Thus speaketh YHUH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the Ruler of Babylon.
Jer 28:3 Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of YHUH'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar Ruler of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:
Jer 28:4 And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim Ruler of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith YHUH: for I will break the yoke of the Ruler of Babylon.
Jer 28:5 Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of YHUH,
Jer 28:6 Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: YHUH do so: YHUH perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of YHUH'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

Some Yehudim still have problems with Yahushua’s claim and say there is no basis for the idea of a father passing on his tribal line by adoption. A priest who adopts a son from another tribe cannot make him a priest by adoption.

The Scriptures hold many interesting themes, one of which is the concept of adoption and inheritance. The importance of inheritance dominates the early writings, demonstrating the lawful, familial/tribal, and spiritual necessity for succession and family continuance. Not only did monetary possession, physical property, and sometimes “royal succession” revolve around this topic, but also the spiritual implication of baruch and generational curses as well. Let us examine important figures in Scriptures and the spiritual implications for us today.

Sons of Yoseph (Joseph): Beresheit (Genesis) 48:3-6:
(3) Ya`aqov said to Yoseph, “El Shaddai appeared to me at Luz in the land of Kena`an, and blessed me,
(4) and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.’
(5) Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Mitsrayim before I came to you into Mitsrayim, are mine; Ephrayim and Menasheh, even as Re’uven and Shim`on, will be mine.
(6) Your issue, who you become the father of after them, will be yours. They will be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

This clearly describes adoption.

Ya’aqov (Jacob) has done something that had never been done before – He divided the family line into 2 and gave the birthright to one of the youngest sons (and split it amongst His sons). The double portion or baruch should have gone with Re’uven (Reuben), but he forfeited that right by intimate relations with one of Ya’aqov’s wives – the handmaid/concubine Bilhah. The double portion then went to the son’s of Yoseph (first son of Rachel, Ya’aqov’s second wife) – Ephrayim and Menashsheh! In the Scripture proceeding this, we see Ya’aqov “adopting” Yoseph’s sons so that they will be part of the inheritance of the baruch – to be called by his name and be as numerous as the stars of the skies. It is also very prophetic because Levi, after being given the priesthood, no longer has an inheritance in Ya’aqov – the Son’s of Levi have YHUH for an inheritance. The final portion, the “rule/throne,” was given to the tribe of Yehudah (Judah) – making way for the likes of Ruler David, Ruler Solomon, and Yahushua the Mashiach.

Mosheh (Moses): Shemoth (Exodus) 2:10:
The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Mosheh, and said, “Because I drew him out of the water.”

Mosheh (Moses) was adopted by the daughter of Pharaoh. Through this adoption, Mosheh became co-heir with the natural born son of Pharoah and potentially third in line to the throne of Mitsrayim (Egypt). The Father literally preserved the “deliverer” of the Hebrews/Children of Yisra’el right under the nose of Pharoah. Mosheh is then a “type-and-shadow” of the Mashiach – son of priest (Levi), heir to throne, suffering servant, and prophet. It is a beautiful picture and foreshadowing of the anointed one of YHUH come to redeem everyone.

Ironically, even Talmudists have recognised Yahushua’s royal Davidic descent as follows:

Sanhedrin 43a. ("Yeshu" in footnote #6, Yeshu "the Nazarene") was executed because he practiced sorcery and he deserved execution, as follows:

AND A HERALD PRECEDES HIM etc. This implies, only immediately before [the execution], but not previous thereto.33 [In contradiction to this] it was taught: On the eve of the Passover Yeshu34 was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, 'He is going forth to be stoned because he has practised sorcery and enticed Israel to apostacy. Any one who can say anything in his favour, let him come forward and plead on his behalf.' But since nothing was brought forward in his favour he was hanged on the eve of the Passover!35  — Ulla retorted: 'Do you suppose that he was one for whom a defence could be made? Was he not a Mesith [enticer], concerning whom Scripture says, Neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him?36 With Yeshu however it was different, for he was connected with the government [or royalty, i.e., influential].”

Just as it was important that Yoseph call Yahushua his son, so too was the Father YHUH calling him His son! By the same laws of inheritance on the Earth, Yahushua by this claiming is the one true heir in the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of Shamayim/Elohim. To fulfil the prophesies every contingency had to be covered to insure his legitimacy.

Appointment by YHUH
Yahushua was not the only member of the House of David apart from Jechoniah. There were a number of other descendants who could claim equality with Yahushua to the Throne of David, for they too did not have Jechoniah's blood in their veins. At this point, it is important to note the second Old Testament requirement for Rulership: divine appointment. Of all the members of the House of David apart from Jechoniah, only One received divine appointment.

We read in Luke 1:30-33:
And the malak said unto her, Fear not, Miryam: for you have found favor with Elohim. And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name YAHUSHUA. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and YHUH Elohim shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) there shall be no end.

YHUH also ordained that Yahushua should have a higher calling than that of the Aaronic/Levitical priesthood which sadly missed the great advent of the arrival of their Master and rather chose to execute Him for perceived blasphemy.

Heb 7:11  If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Heb 7:12  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

A Promise for Us

Romans 8:14-17,23:
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are children of Elohim.
(15) For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
(16) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of Elohim;
(17) and if children, then heirs; heirs of Elohim, and joint-heirs with Mashiach; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be honoured with him.
(22) For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.
(23) Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

Galatians 4:4-7:
(4) But when the fullness of the time came, Elohim sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,
(5) that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
(6) And because you are sons, Elohim sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”
(7) So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of YHUH through Mashiach.

Ephesians 1:5:
having fore-ordained us for adoption as sons through Yahushua the Mashiach to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,”

Sha’ul (Apostle Paul) tells us, the believers in Mashiach and partakers of His Resurrection, that through Mashiach’s death we receive the Spirit of Adoption from the father and become “joint-heirs” in the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of Elohim.

Now, some Yehudim will say Maimonides devotes much of his "Guide for the Perplexed" to the fundamental idea that Elohim is incorporeal, meaning that He assumes no physical form. Elohim is eternal, above time. He is infinite, beyond space. He cannot be born, and cannot die. Saying that Elohim assumes human form makes Elohim small, diminishing both His unity and His spiritual supernatural pre-eminence. As the Torah says: "Elohim is not mortal" (Numbers 23:19).

Fully agreed, Elohim is not Yahushua as some false doctrines try to make out – Yahushua is the second Adam, the son of YHUH – just as YHUH could create Adam He should not be limited to not have been able to bring about supernaturally a second perfected Adam. (See Why Jesus is not God / Yah’ushua is not Elohim)

Yahushua was a rightful heir to the Throne of David. People take only this one prophecy completely out of context and ignore the full plan of Yahuah, they use Jer. 22:30 to destroy the Matthew lineage, but it is the “witness of Yahuah that Yahushua is the Mashiach”, the witness of:

Water – born human through his mother’s womb
Blood – bloodline restoration of Throne and High Priest
Spirit – resurrected by YHUH as His only begotten Son

Luk 3:23  And Yahushua himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed the son of Joseph), which was the son of Heli

Luk 3:31  Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David

In Matthew Joseph is stated to be begotten by Jacob hence the above must refer to Yahushua being grandson of Heli with Heli being Miryam's father - another direct link to David.

While it is clear that Yahuah brought judgement on the Royal Line of David and cast it to the ground through Jeconiah in Joseph's lineage, it is even MORE clear, through prophecy of the coming Mashiach, that Yahuah would RESTORE that Royal Line by the Mashiach. While later Rulers rebelled Yahuah’s promise to David was ETERNAL to be fulfilled  keeping the ETERNAL promise alive to David. Thus YHUH disciplined the Rulers and Israel for rebellion:

I Kings 8:25:
Now, Yahuah, Elohim of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the PROMISES you made to him when you said, ´You shall never fail to have a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, IF ONLY your sons are careful in all they do to walk before me as you have done!´
In other words, Yahuah made it clear that there would be discipline, and the throne would be suspended if all the Royal Line were not obedient.

I Kings 9:2-7
Now, IF YOU WALK BEFORE ME as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, AND IF YOU KEEP MY STATUTES AND MY JUDGMENTS, THEN I WILL ESTABLISH THE THRONE OF YOUR Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) OVER ISRAEL FOREVER, as I promised David your father, saying, ´You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.´ BUT if you or your sons at all turn from following Me, and do NOT keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, THEN I WILL CUT OFF [DESTROY] ISRAEL FROM THE LAND which I have given them; and this house [Temple] which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight. Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.”

Jochanan and Yahushua

Luk 1:60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called Jochanan.
Luk 1:61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
Luk 1:62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
Luk 1:63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is Jochanan. And they marvelled all.
Luk 1:64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised Yahuah.
Luk 1:65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
Luk 1:66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of Yahuah was with him.
Luk 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Qodesh Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
Luk 1:68 Baruched be YHUH Elohim of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Luk 1:69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
Luk 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his qodesh prophets, which have been since the world began:
Luk 1:71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
Luk 1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his qodesh covenant;
Luk 1:73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Luk 1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Luk 1:75 In qodesh righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Luk 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of Mashiach to prepare his ways;
Luk 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Luk 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our Elohim; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
Luk 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of shalom.
Luk 1:80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.

Jochanan who descended from Aaronic priesthood rejoiced in the womb with the arrival of Yahushua:

Luk 1:39  And Miryam arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah;
Luk 1:40  And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
Luk 1:41  And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Miryam, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Ruach Hakodesh:
Luk 1:42  And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Baruched are you among women, and baruched is the fruit of thy womb.
Luk 1:43  And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Master should come to me?
Luk 1:44  For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for giel.

This is how all of Israel should have reacted, but, alas, it was not to be.

Now, to continue. According to Yehudic sources, the Mashiach will be born of human parents and possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a demi-god, nor will he possess supernatural qualities.

Again with the Yehudic sources.

This is how Yahushua explained himself:

David’s Son, David’s Master

Then Yahushua confounded the Pharisees by asking them a question, saying "What do you think about the Mashiach? Whose son is he?" They replied, "The Son of David." Then Yahushua asked them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him 'Master'? For he says, 'YHUH said to my Master, "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." If then David calls him 'Master,' how can Mashiach then be his son?' " (verses 41-45).

They couldn't think of a reply (v. 46)

In Psalm 2:12 David wrote,
Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Baruch’d are all they that take refuge in him.”
Kiss the Son” means to give homage to the Son as the one, true Son of Elohim to whom we are to give due homage.

David knew who Mashiach would be, why not today’s Yehudim? He was not a demi-god, a pagan term, he was the Son of Elohim as foretold by David.

C. Torah Observance
The Mashiach will lead the Yehudim to full Torah observance. The Torah states that anyone coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false prophet.

Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other mighty ones which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for YHUH your Elohim proveth you, to know whether ye love YHUH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after YHUH your Elohim, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

A modern Yehudiy, Rabbi Roland B. Gittlesohn of the Temple Israel in Boston, Massachusetts, writes of the true, historical Yahushua:

"I can certainly accept Jesus as a fellow-Jew...Jesus was not a Christian; he was a Jew. He did not preach a new faith, but taught men to do the will of Elohim; and in his opinion, as also in that of the Jews, the will of Elohim was to be found in the law of Moses and in the other books of Scripture. Here we must make a clear distinction between the religion of Jesus and the religion about Jesus. The religion of Jesus was Judaism; there can be no doubt of that. Christianity is the religion about Jesus. When Jesus was asked, 'What is the first of all the commandments?' -- he answered by reciting the Shema which is the great statement of Monotheistic Judaic faith: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our Elohim, the Lord is One: and thou shalt love the Lord thy Elohim with all thy heart and with all thy soul...this is the first commandment'..Even though these words are often quoted - even at times by ignorant or self-denying Jews - in the name of Jesus, he himself was surely aware of the fact that they come from the Hebrew Torah...which antedates him by many centuries. Jesus was consciously citing and reiterating Judaism. This Jesus, Jesus the Jew, I can with clear conscience accept. I can and do also accept him as a superb teacher, as a restless rebel against hypocrisy, as a compassionate counsellor, as one who stressed the spirit over the letter of faith, though he knew the letter to be important too. Jesus [was] an extraordinarily beautiful and noble spirit, aglow with love and pity for men, especially for the unfortunate and lost, deep in piety, of keen insight into human nature, endowed with a brilliant gift of parable and epigram, an ardent Jew, moreover, a firm believer in the faith of his people; in all, a dedicated teacher of the principles, religious and ethical, of Judaism. As a Jew and rabbi, then, I can accept Jesus...He held the basic beliefs and practices of the Jewish heritage to be precious, but strove to refurbish and refine them, to adapt them to the needs of his time. This, however, is not the Jesus of [Catholic and Protestant] Christianity, nor of Jews for Jesus..." (Smashing the Idols: A Yehudic Inquiry into the Cult Phenomenon, Gary D. Eisenberg, pp. 165-166).

From birth Yahushua’s parents were an example to Him of how Moses’ laws were to be observed, as follows:

Luk 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to YHUH;
Luk 2:23 (As it is written in the law of YHUH, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called ordained to YHUH;)
Luk 2:24 And to offer an offering according to that which is said in the law of YHUH, A pair of turtle doves, or two young pigeons.

Luk 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into Yahuah's House: and when the parents brought in the child Yahushua, to do for him after the custom of the law,

Still, some Yahudim say that throughout the “Christian” Renewed Covenant (NT) Yahushua contradicts the Torah and states that its commandments are no longer applicable. For example, John 9:14 records that Yahushua made a paste in violation of Shabbat, which caused the Pharisees to say (verse 16), "He does not observe Shabbat!" Let’s study this.

Joh 9:13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
Joh 9:14 And it was the Sabbath day when Yahushua made the clay, and opened his eyes.
Joh 9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
Joh 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of Elohim, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
Joh 9:17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. (Clearly they did not know Maimonides’s ideology then)
Joh 9:18 But the Yehudim did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
Joh 9:19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
Joh 9:20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
Joh 9:21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
Joh 9:22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Yehudim: for the Yehudim had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Mashiach, he should be put out of the synagogue.
Joh 9:23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
Joh 9:24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give Elohim the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
Joh 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Joh 9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
Joh 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
Joh 9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
Joh 9:29 We know that Elohim spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
Joh 9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
Joh 9:31 Now we know that Elohim heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of Elohim, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Joh 9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
Joh 9:33 If this man were not of Elohim, he could do nothing.
Joh 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
Joh 9:35 Yahushua heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do thou believe on the Son of Elohim?
Joh 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Master, that I might believe on him?
Joh 9:37 And Yahushua said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
Joh 9:38 And he said, Master, I believe. And he worshipped him.
Joh 9:39 And Yahushua said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Joh 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
Joh 9:41 Yahushua said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Modern Yehudic rabbis and scholars know that Yahushua followed the first century Pharisaic practices in regards to the Sabbath and set apart days. Criticisms against Yahushua for healing on the Sabbath days were totally unfounded in view of the teaching of "Nikkuah Nefesh", "A Life in Danger" within Pharisaic Yehudism, which permitted Yahushua to heal on the Sabbath days. Otherwise the sick and afflicted people may have died without finding another opportunity for healing in time. Also, Yahushua was not executed for breaking Sabbath, this would mean the leaders knew they had falsely accused him of such in the past.

When a leper came to Yahushua and asked to be made clean Yahushua had compassion on him and healed him. At once he was cured. Then Yahushua commanded him, "See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and OFFER THE OFFERINGS THAT MOSES COMMANDED for your cleansing, as a declaration to them" (Mark 1:40-44).

What about the Law of Moses?
Here was Yahushua's perfect opportunity to tell the poor man that it wasn't necessary any more for him to offer offerings prescribed in the Law. But he didn't do it! Why? Because, although those offerings did not forgive sin their performance would be a declaration to all the people that a wonderful, miraculous healing miracle had been accomplished.

At that time the House of YHUH Elohim was still standing. The Levitical priesthood was still in operation and functioning. Therefore, the Laws involving YHUH’s House, priesthood, and animal offerings etcetera were STILL APPLICABLE and in force!

In 60 A.D, 28 years after the execution of the Mashiach, the apostle Paul returned to Jerusalem from his journeys, preaching the good news. Upon his return the elders of the Congregation of YHUH Elohim in Jerusalem welcomed him, and heard his report of the miracles and wonders YHUH had done among the Gentiles (Acts 21:17-19).

Now notice what happened next.
"When they heard this, they praised Elohim. Then they said to Paul: 'You see, brother, how many THOUSANDS of Yehudim have BELIEVED [the good news of Yahushua’s resurrection], and ALL OF THEM ARE EAGER FOR THE LAW. They have been informed [or misinformed by persecutors among the Yehudim who hated Paul] that you teach all the Yehudim who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs. What shall we do? They will certainly hear that you have come, so do what we tell you. There are four men with us who have made a VOW. Take these men, join in their purification rites and pay their expenses, so that they can have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know there is NO TRUTH IN THESE REPORTS about you, but that you yourself are living IN OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW" (Acts 21:20-24).

Obviously, it was not wrong to live according to the laws of YHUH Elohim, and even to perform the ceremonies of the ritual and atonement law. Paul, being a Yehudiy, therefore took part in this ceremony. However, it was not needful for Gentiles to do such things as were required in the ceremonial and ritualistic law (verse 25).

"The next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went to YHUH’s House to give notice of the date when the days of purification would end and the offering would be made for each of them" (verse 26)

This must have been the law of the Nazarite vow which is given in Numbers 6, when a man vows to separate himself to YHUH Elohim for a period of time.

If this "law of Elohim" were abolished by Yahushua the Mashiach, then WHY did the apostle Paul observe it with four other devout men in Jerusalem 29 years AFTER the execution of the Mashiach? Obviously, this ceremony had NOT been abolished.

Law Versus Lawlessness
What does this tell us, then, about the true religion that Yahushua the Mashiach proclaimed? What does it tell us about his true good news or message? The apostle Paul wrote,
"What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, 'Do not covet' " (Rom. 7:7).

Paul went on,

"So then, the law is QODESH and the commandment is QODESH, JUST and GOOD" (verse 12). He went on to say that YHUH's Law is spiritual (Rom. 7:14) - and that which is spiritual is eternal.

As Paul also wrote,

2Co 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal" (II Cor. 4:18). If the Laws of YHUH Elohim were all abolished, as some believe, then Yahushua did away with what was clearly qodesh, just, good, and spiritual. Not at all.

The sad truth is that the religion which today calls itself "Christian" in the world and which claims the laws of YHUH Elohim are abolished IS NOT TRULY FOLLOWING SCRIPTURES AT ALL. It is a PAGAN perversion of the truth of YHUH Elohim. Its origin is not in the Scriptures of the Bible, but in the ancient pagan Mystery religion of ancient Babylon, with its false Mashiach, its pagan customs and beliefs, and its hatred of the laws and customs of YHUH Elohim, which have been preserved in part by the Yehudim only. (See Do You Really Want to be Called a Christian )

Yahushua the Mashiach was NO CHRISTIAN! He never observed Christmas which is the pagan celebration of the winter solstice and the birth of the "sun god." He wasn't born anywhere near December 25th. He never observed Easter Sunday, named after the pagan goddess of sex and fertility, Astarte, or Ishtar. Furthermore, Yahushua the Mashiach never once in his entire life observed "Sunday" every consecutive week as a day of rest, nor did he ever command his followers to observe it. Sunday is the pagan day of worship of the SUN GOD - it carries its very meaning in its name. Consecutive Sunday worship stamps people as worshipping the false "god of this world," Satan (II Cor. 4:4), who has blinded the minds of those who believe not the truth of the Scriptures.

Those who teach contrary to the Law of YHUH Elohim, which Yahushua upheld, and Paul also taught, are false ministers, serving in false “Churches”, using the name Jesus to appear legitimate in their own way. Paul writes of them,

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Mashiach. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve" (II Cor. 11:13-15).

Yahushua did not hate his Father's Law. In fact, to clarify this very point, he told his disciples in
no uncertain terms:
"Do NOT think that I have come to ABOLISH THE LAW or the Prophets; I have not came to abolish them but to FULFILL them" - that is, to fill them to the full, to bring to them their full spiritual scope and intent. (Matt. 5:17). Yahushua went on, explaining: "I tell you the truth, until shamayim and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished" (verse 18).

Has that day come yet? Has everything been accomplished? Have the new shamayim and new earth appeared yet (Rev. 21:1)? Has the Jerusalem from shamayim already come down to the earth (Rev. 21:2)? Has Satan already been punished and cast into the lake of fire? (Rev. 20:10.) Has the Great White Throne Judgement occurred already? (Rev. 20:11-12.) Have Yahushua the Mashiach and YHUH Elohim the Father already returned and established the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of YHUH Elohim? (Rev. 10:1-7 and Rev. 19:6, 11-16).

The answer is obvious. Therefore, by Yahushua's own admission, the LAWS OF YHUH are still in force today! He did not come to abolish the LEAST little law or commandment! Rather, he came to make the law of YHUH Elohim even MORE binding, in spirit, and not just in the letter.

Read Matthew 5, to the very end of the chapter. Note, Yahushua did not just condemn the act of murder but he added, "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment" (verse 22). Yahushua did not merely condemn the act of adultery, but he went much further, saying, "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (verse 28). Although the law of Moses allowed divorce through a "certificate of divorce," Yahushua tightened and strengthened the divorce law of YHUH Elohim. He said, "But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for MARITAL INFIDELITY, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery" (verse 32). (See You Have Hear It Said...Adultery With The Eyes )

Yahushua and the Law
Does this sound as if Yahushua rescinded or abolished the commandments of YHUH Elohim? NOT AT ALL! Rather, he amplified and expanded their meaning, showing us the full spiritual intent of YHUH's Law. As Isaiah the prophet spoke of him,

"It pleased YHUH [through the agency of the Mashiach] for the sake of his righteousness to make his law great and splendid" (Isa. 42:21).

A possible rendering of the original Hebrew of this passage is: "He will enlarge and advance the Torah, and make it expanded." In other words, Yahushua's intent was not to abolish or weaken or emasculate the Laws of YHUH Elohim revealed in the Old Covenant, but to expand and magnify them to their full spiritual intent and conclusion - to show their full meaning, purpose, and relevance - to show that the commandments lead us by necessity to emunah (pagan word faith) in him as the Mashiach. We do not earn salvation by works of law, but by emunah (faith) in Yahushua the Mashiach, who died for our sins and transgression of the law, and who now gives us His spirit to enable us to fulfil the righteousness of the Law (Acts 2:38; 5:32; Gal. 2:20). The Mashiach did not replace the Law of YHUH Elohim with emunah(faith) alone, but rather gives us inward emunah through His spirit to enable us to observe the qodesh commandments of YHUH Elohim! (see Faith Alone? )

The apostle Paul knew this truth. He wrote to the believers in Rome:

"Do we, then, nullify the law by this emunah? Not at all! Rather, we UPHOLD the law" (Rom. 3:31). Not one iota, not one jot or tittle, is abolished from the Law of YHUH Elohim.

A good example of Yahushua’s usual conduct is as follows:

Joh 7:14 Now about the midst of the feast (Tabernacles) Yahushua went up into Yahuah's House, and taught.
Joh 7:15 And the Yehudim marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
Joh 7:16 Yahushua answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me.
Joh 7:17 If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of YHUH, or whether I speak of myself.
Joh 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own honour: but he that seeketh his honour that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Joh 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
Joh 7:20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
Joh 7:21 Yahushua answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
Joh 7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
Joh 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Joh 7:25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
Joh 7:26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is Mashiach?
Joh 7:27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Mashiach cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
Joh 7:28 Then cried Yahushua in Yahuah's House as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but He that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
Joh 7:29 But I know Him: for I am from Him, and He hath sent me.
Joh 7:30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
Joh 7:31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Mashiach cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
Joh 7:32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.
Joh 7:33 Then said Yahushua unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
Joh 7:34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.
Joh 7:35 Then said the Yehudim among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
Joh 7:36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahushua stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Ruach HaKodesh was not yet given; because that Yahushua was not yet honored.)
Joh 7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
Joh 7:41 Others said, This is Mashiach. But some said, Shall Mashiach come out of Galilee?
Joh 7:42 Hath not the scripture said, That Mashiach cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
Joh 7:43 So there was a division among the people because of him.
Joh 7:44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
Joh 7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
Joh 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
Joh 7:47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
Joh 7:48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
Joh 7:49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
Joh 7:50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Yahushua by night, being one of them,)
Joh 7:51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
Joh 7:52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

Now we see that already the people were being taught corrupt teachings by their leaders. The prophetic Scriptures state Mashiach would be born in Bethlehem – no-one bothered to remind everyone that Yahushua was born there. Then again, there was division amongst the people so some knew the true Scriptures and believed on Yahushua whilst others did not read properly and were being led astray even then with corrupt teachings.

In the time of the Mashiach, there were two major schools among the Pharisees - the school of Hillel, and the school of Shamai. Many among the school of Shamai were very strict, legalistic, and harsh in judgment. They stressed minutae, and legalism, adding many extra burdensome laws to the Sabbath, for example.

We read of this kind of Pharisee when Matthew records:

"Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Yahushua from Jerusalem and asked, 'Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!' Yahushua replied, 'And why do you break the COMMANDS OF YHUH for the sake of your tradition? For Elohim said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.' But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received is a gift devoted to Elohim,' he is not to honor his father with it. Thus you NULLIFY THE WORD OF YHUH for the sake of your tradition. You HYPOCRITES! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in VAIN; their teachings are but rules taught by men'" (Matt. 15:1-9).

Whilst upholding the true law of YHUH Yahushua pointed out the false teachers amongst the leaders of the Yehudim who were accusing him for their own aggrandisement in order to hold on to power and wealth.

A Pharisee Named Gamaliel
One, however, who was not among this apostate group was Gamaliel. He was a "Doctor of the Torah," a grandson of the famous Hillel who had founded the School of Hillel. Gamaliel is mentioned favorably in the Renewed Covenant. Luke records that when Peter and John had been brought before the Sanhedrin because of the miracle they had performed in the name of Yahushua, many of the Pharisees present were furious and wanted to put them to death. The apostles had challenged their authority to command them to quit preaching in the name of the Mashiach. Shimon (Peter) had said,

"We must obey Elohim rather than men!" (Acts 5:29). He then gave a witness that Yahushua, whom they had slain, was the Mashiach. This bold witness enraged the apostate, renegade Pharisees who were present. But something happened, to prevent their action.

"But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was honored by ALL the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. Then he addressed them: Acts 5:34-39, as quoted earlier on. His speech persuaded them to let the apostles go free, after they flogged them.

Who was this Gamaliel? He was a righteous, devout Pharisee. He was the teacher of the apostle Paul. Paul declared, when he was on trial before the Sanhedrin,

"I am a Yehudiy, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city. Under Gamaliel I was thoroughly trained in the law of our fathers and was just as eager for Elohim as any of you are today" (Acts 22:3).

Because of his thorough Pharisaic upbringing, Paul later wrote to the Philippians,

"If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the LAW, A PHARISEE; as for eagerness, persecuting the congregation (pw church); as for *LEGALISTIC RIGHTEOUSNESS, FAULTLESS" (Phil. 3:4-6).

*Lawful [according to the letter without the spirit - in other words without applying correctly in context].

Modern example:
Honour your parents - you cannot obey them if they are telling you to break Sabbath since the spirit of the law is to obey Yahuah first.

This clearly shows that Gamaliel had taught Paul well. Paul had been a very devout Pharisee, sadly just not in the Spirit. Zechariah, the father of Jochanan the Immerser, and Yoseph, the legal father of Yahushua the Mashiach were also devout in the To’rah.

The true Yahushua
Now, with this background in mind, let us examine the words of Yahushua in Matthew, where he encountered some hostile critics among the Pharisees in Jerusalem. In Matthew 22 we read that some Pharisees

"went out and laid plans to trap him in his words." They sent men to flatter him, and then ask him whether it was all right to pay taxes to Caesar or not. They intended to get him in trouble with the Roman authorities, if he said no, and with the people, if he said yes. But Yahushua discerned their motives and replied, "You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax." They brought him a coin, and he said, "Whose portrait is this, and whose inscription?" They answered, "Caesar's." Yahushua then silenced them, saying, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to Elohim what is Elohim's" (Matt. 22:15-22).

After this, the Sadducees tried to trip him up also. They didn't believe in a resurrection from the dead. They taught that this life is all there is, and there is no "afterlife." They gave Yahushua an example of a man who had been married to seven wives, each of them dying successively. They then asked him which woman would be his wife in the resurrection. Yahushua responded,

"You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of Elohim. At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the malakim in shamayim. But about the resurrection of the dead - have you not read what Elohim said to you, 'I am the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob'? He is not the Elohim of the dead but of the living'" (verses 29-32).

Then Yahushua a To’rah obedient Son, states the Shema as follows:

Mat 22:34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
Mat 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Yahushua said unto him, Thou shalt love Yahuah thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

At this point, we read that Yahushua turned to the crowds, and to his disciples, and said:

"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees SIT IN MOSES' SEAT. So you must OBEY THEM and do EVERYTHING they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. Everything they do is for men to see..." (Matt. 23:1-5).

What is Yahushua saying here? Note, He is talking to the multitudes and to his disciples about the Pharisees. He acknowledges that as a group, as descendants of the "pious ones," that the GOOD, devout, sincere Pharisees sat in Moses' seat - that is, they held authority in YHUH’s House, in the religion of Israel, in the promulgation of the Truth and the Law of YHUH Elohim. They exercised authority in YHUH’s House, in teaching the laws and commandments of YHUH Elohim, in determining the House of YHUH’s services and rituals, and in preserving and maintaining YHUH’s calendar, and setting the dates for the annual Qodesh Feasts. When Yahushua said this, he was speaking of the DEVOUT Pharisees - such as Zechariah, the father of Jochanan the Immerser, Gamaliel and others, such as Nicodemus.

But after saying this He turned his attention to the OTHER Pharisees - the rascals and insincere, the hypocrites among them - the religious rebels and apostates. It is then of THESE kinds of Pharisees that he goes on to say,

"WOE to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of shamayim in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter nor will you let those enter who are trying to. WOE to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to make a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of gehenna (pagan word hell) as you are. WOE to you, blind guides!" (Matt. 23:13-16).

Yahushua goes on to call the renegade, apostate Pharisees, who were like wolves in sheep's clothing, masquerading as servants of YHUH Elohim,

"You blind fools!" (verse 17). He finally denounces them with these scathing words: "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to gehenna?" (Matt. 23:33).

Also, He says:
Mar 12:38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
Mar 12:39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
Mar 12:40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Yahushua was denouncing and rebuking the APOSTATE scribes and Pharisees!

Leo Trepp writes in A History of the Yehudic Experience: Eternal Faith, Eternal People:
"Like any great movement, Pharisaism found in its ranks members that did not belong. They had joined, not in a spirit of idealism, but from motives of self-interest and the desire for self-aggrandizement. The leaders of the Pharisees were well aware of them and condemned them severely. In biting irony, the Rabbis called them 'Painted Ones,' whose piety was but painted on, a veneer designed to hide a heart of selfishness.

"The scourge of the Pharisees: seven unworthy types of Pharisees, namely:
"the egotistic Pharisee: he hopes to gain by his show of piety;
"the over-modest Pharisee: he walks with mincing steps;
"the bleeding Pharisee: he walks with eyes closed, lest he be tempted; he bleeds from hitting his head on the obstacles into which he has bumped;
"the bent-over Pharisee: he demonstrates his 'humility' by standing and walking in bowing position;
"the dutiful Pharisee: he has 'never' shirked his duty, and constantly asks for new tasks to perform;
"the Pharisee of 'love,' who makes a show of his love of Elohim;
"the reverent Pharisee, making a show of his reverence for Elohim.”

"This sarcasm, which overstates the point, clearly shows the concern the rabbis felt over the penetration of unworthy people into their ranks. Their spirit is reflected in words which Jesus speaks to hypocrite Pharisees: 'You Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness...ye tithe the mint and cumin and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgement and the love of Elohim; these ought you to have done, but not to leave the other undone...you love the uppermost seats in the synagogues and greetings in the markets...Woe unto you scribes and Pharisee hypocrites, ye are graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them' (Luke 12:39-44). We can almost pick the different types of 'painted ones,' who are mentioned here in equal sharp rebuke. But why did the rabbis permit these people to remain members of the group? Because as humans we cannot look into the hearts of men to determine their true motivations." (pp. 72-73).

As for the above we as true believers are to judge in righteousness:

1Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge malakim? how much more things that pertain to this life? (See The Judge Not Heresy).

Yahushua the Mashiach – true and devout
When we look at all the evidence then we see that Yahushua the Mashiach did not come to bring an entirely new "religion." Rather, he was a Yehudiy and he taught an enlightened, expanded truth of the Law of YHUH Elohim. He was taught of the Pharisees as a youth, and no doubt was considered as a "Pharisee" in general terms. The Pharisees of that day acknowledged him as a "rabbi," or "teacher." Jochanan the Immerser seemed to be indicating that Yahushua was, at least in the beginning before he began his own separate ministry, among the Pharisees. For Jochanan said to the Pharisees who came to him, questioning him:

"I immerse / wash with water,' John replied, 'but AMONG YOU stands one you do not know. He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie" (John 1:26-27).

Yahushua observed the requirements of the Yehudism of his time. Yahushua emphasized ALL THE MAJOR POINTS of the Yehudism of the day, except the "excess baggage" which false teachers had added to YHUH's commandments, including various "traditions of men" (see Mark 7:5-13). He was a true, devout Yehudiy who obeyed all the commandments and taught others to do so. He only parted company with the Pharisees of His time when they parted company with the revealed Law of YHUH Elohim because of their onerous traditions, which they added to YHUH's laws, and which sometimes violated the spirit and intent of the Law.

When Yahushua began his ministry, teaching the truth of YHUH Elohim that the Father gave him, the apostate, renegade Pharisees suddenly came up in arms, began to criticize him, began to find fault, and the more miracles he performed the more dangerous they felt he was to their establishment and their authority, and they became determined to get rid of Him. They cast him out of the synagogue, and accused him of being "demon-inspired" (Matt. 11:24). Nicodemus was a member of the Yehudic "ruling council" (John 3:1). He sought out Yahushua "at night" because he didn't want the other Yehudic leaders to see him (verse 2). He acknowledged that Yahushua was sent by YHUH Elohim (verse 2).

By the time Yahushua's ministry was nearly over, and he had even raised Lazarus from the
dead, the apostate, renegade Pharisees still in power decided to have Yahushua put to death. When anyone decided to follow Yahushua that person was cast out of the synagogue or congregation of that time (John 9:1-34). This was well known, so many people refused to associate with the Mashiach out of fear (see verses 20-23).

Yahushua had many encounters with these apostate renegades among the Pharisees. By the time his ministry had begun the Pharisees had degenerated into a thieving, greedy, conniving bunch of scoundrels. The majority of them had become wicked and self-righteous, vain and selfish, lusting after praise, honor and splendour from men.

An interesting angle to all this is as follows:

Come Out of Her My People by CJ Kostere states on Pg. 105-106
We have previously mentioned that the Ten Commandments were given on two tables, the first table being the basis for religious Law or vertical love, while the second table is the basis for the ethical or social Law or horizontal love. It is generally accepted that at the time of Mashiach’s sojourn of earth, the Jews erred mainly as far as the second table was concerned. They were somehow keeping the first table, even if their “oral laws” which were added caused them to differently interpret the Third and Fourth Commandments. For instance, they made a burden of Sabbath-keeping, instead of the original intention of it being a delight, by adding 39 additional rules to Sabbath-keeping, as we find recorded in their Mishnah.
The Jews also avoided the use of the Name Yahuah, a tradition or man-made “law” which is not supported by Scriptures. Yahushua remarked on this deletion of His Father’s Name when he reprimanded them for having taken away the key of knowledge, (Luke 11:52). The Interpreter’s Dictionary of the Bible, vol 2, p. 407, says that the “Name” of our Heavenly Father “is the key to understanding the biblical doctrine of Elohim”.
Mashiach prophesied about the restoration of His Name and His Father’s Name when He said in Matt 23:39, “For I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Yahuah!” - where He quoted from Psalm 118:26, and was referring to the restoration which is to take place before His Second Coming. This can only refer to His Second Entry into Jerusalem. In Luke 19:38-40 we read of His First Entry into Jerusalem when the crowd called out this verse, Psalm 118:26. They must have used the Name, as it is written in Psalm 118:26, for some of the Pharisees asked Him to rebuke them. They must have objected against the crowd using the name, because the rabbis had forbidden such a practice. However, Yahushua did manifest His father’s Name to His disciples (John, 17:6, 26 and Heb 2:12). And he promised to make it known to us too (John 17:26).
Where did the rabbis get the idea of avoiding or suppressing the Name, from, teaching the people that the Name is ineffable, unutterable? We have already touched on this, but would like to discuss it more fully. Legge, Forerunners and Rivals of Christianity, p 37 says, “The ineffability of divine names was an old idea in Egypt, especially in the Osirian religion, where it forms the base of the story of Ra and Isis. So the names of Osiris himself was said to be ineffable...The name of Marduk of Babylon is in the same way declared ineffable in an inscription of Neri, glissar...The name of Yahweh became ineffable directly after Alexander... In every case, the magical idea that the god might be compelled by utterance of his secret name seems to be at the root of the practice.”
This is confirmed by AH Sayce in his Religion of the Ancient Babylonians, pg. 4, where he writes, “Religion has always loved to cloak itself in mystery, and a priesthood is notoriously averse from revealing in plain language the secrets of which it believes itself the possessor. The priesthood of Babylonia formed no exception to the general rule...and the true pronounciation of divine names was carefully hidden from the uninitiated multitude.” Furthermore, it is well known that the Greeks, for a long period of time, preferred to avoid the names of their deities, and rather called them by a title. Usually kurios and theos were used.
Thus, the un-Scriptural teaching of the rabbis, of avoiding or hiding or masking the Name, was something which they had learnt from the Egyptians, Greeks and Babylonians. Their decision to avoid or hide or suppress the Name was significantly taken just after they came from Babylonian captivity.
What was the ultimate result, all over the world, of this decision by the Jews to avoid or hide or suppress the Name? Just this: In all the countries of the world, the Name was replaced by a title which was previously used for a pagan deity of that particular pagan country. In many cases we find that the proper name of the local pagan deity was adopted to stand for the Name of Yahuah. In the Polish translation of the Scriptures Pan Bog was, and still is, used as a rendering for Yahuah Elohim. Both Pan and Bog were pagan deities.
This shocking syncretism, identifying our Mighty One with a pagan deity, in fact, the paganization of our Mighty One, happened in the same way as many centuries ago, in defiance of the clear commands of Yahuah which instruct us that the names of pagan deities must be destroyed, not used! (Deut 12:3) “And do not mention the name of other mighty ones, nor let them be heard from your mouth. (Exod 23:13 NASB).”

Fossilized Customs – The Pagan Origins of Popular Customs (10th Ed) by Lew White on pg. 94 states:
The Yahudim were hoping for the Mashiach to come, and Rabbi Yahushua was not going about telling anyone He was – but rather kept that an inside secret. The only thing He did that caused the law teachers and priests to pick up stones to kill Him was what they called “blasphemy”. It was against their law to say the Name of Yahuah – ad the penalty was death. This is not usually mentioned by the merchant preachers, because people would naturally start to search it out, and the “key of knowledge” would be widespread. The Name Yahushua contains the Name of the Father, so even His name was a problem for them. The name “Yeshua” means salvation and was a rather common name at the time; however: ”Yahushua” means Yah is our salvation, and had the Name being clearly heard by all.
Paul explains how he fought against those who were found in the synagogues that proclaimed Yahuah. At Acts 26:9-11, Paul explains:
I truly thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of the Mashiach of Nazareth.
Act 26:10 And this I also did in Jerusalem: and I both shut up many of the saints in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and WHEN THEY WERE PUT TO DEATH, I GAVE MY VOTE AGAINST THEM.
Act 26:11 And punishing them constantly in the synagogues, I STROVE TO MAKE THEM BLASPHEME; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.”
They weren’t being killed for any other reason than that they were going against the “law” of pronouncing the Name. After “Shaul” was knocked down on his way to Damascus, and encountered the risen Yahushua, he began to pronounce the Name, and did what he had watched others die for! This is no small sideline issue, but is really central to what the entire Brit Chadasha reveals to us. After Shaul was immersed by Ananias, (who was himself very afraid at first when he learned he was to be visited by the infamous Shaul), he took the name of “Paulos”. The name “Shaul” and his reputation was terrifying to the Nazarenes, and you can well understand why. For some time Nazarenes were still afraid and distrustful of Paul:
Acts 9:21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this Name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?”
Yes, pronouncing the Name was a REALLY big deal. Paul was nabbed by the Yahudim of Achaia, and they wanted him dead so much that they rushed to the Roman proconsul Gallio. Gallio, no doubt a pagan, must have thought they were crazy when he heard the reason they were so murderously enraged, and he said:
If indeed it was an act of injustice or reckless evil, O Yahudim, according to REASON I would bear with you; BUT if it be a question concerning a WORD, or NAMES, and that law which is among YOU, see you to it; for I will be no judge of THESE things.” (Acts 18:14,15)
Paul had to be locked up to protect him. He claims he was stoned on several occasions over pronouncing the Name. Men had sworn oaths to see Paul dead before they would eat again. Paul had to hide, and sneak out of the city in a basket. How many Christians really know why Paul was imprisoned? Now you know. Believe it or not, there is quite a bit of “shunning” against those of us who use the Name, even among Mashiach (pw Messianic)s who observe the appointed times.”

Those who rejected Yahushua and caused him to be executed were not the devout, pious, righteous Pharisees of that time. Rather, those who condemned and betrayed him were the self-righteous, apostate, renegade Pharisees (and Sadducees), who had at that moment in history usurped control and authority in the movement. They were spiritual "wolves" who had entered into the flock of YHUH Elohim and who devoured all opposition.

There really should be no controversy or conflict among modern day Yehudim, therefore, who sincerely practice true Yehudic emunah/moral conviction (pw faith). If they can only separate in their minds between the TRUE HISTORICAL YAHUSHUA and the FALSE CATHOLIC CHRIST, between the REAL YAHUSHUA and the IMITATION Jesus, then they should have no problem accepting the teachings of Yahushua who taught a purified and refined and fully developed Torah of Yahuah. He came to fulfil and amplify YHUH's Law - not to destroy it.

Later some of these apostate, renegade Pharisees even entered the Congregation of YHUH Elohim which accepted the Mashiach as Saviour, at least on the outside, and professed to worship him. But they emphasised that Gentiles had to be circumcised in order to be saved. The apostle Paul had a terrific struggle with them throughout his ministry.
"This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them" (Acts 15:2).

These renegade Pharisees were especially prevalent among the Galatians. Paul had to write to them,
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the chesed of Mashiach and are turning to a DIFFERENT GOOD NEWS - which is really no good news at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into CONFUSION and are trying to PERVERT the good news of Mashiach" (Gal. 1:6-7).

The apostate Pharisees were preaching circumcision for all Gentile converts. Paul told the Galatians,
"This matter arose because some FALSE BROTHERS had INFILTRATED OUR RANKS to SPY on the freedom we have in Mashiach Yahushua and to make us slaves. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the good news might remain with you" (Gal. 2:4-5).

The apostle Shimon (Peter) also speaks of them, when he wrote,
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will SECRETLY INTRODUCE destructive HERESIES, even denying the Sovereign Elohim who bought them - bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up" (II Pet. 2:1-3).

This same problem has happened in our end-time age today. There have once again been those who entered the Congregation of YHUH Elohim during these last days bringing in diabolical heresies, changing Scriptural teaching on the healing doctrine, denying the broken body of the Mashiach which was offered for our healing as well as salvation (Isa. 53:5; I Pet. 2:24). They have rejected the importance of end-time Biblical prophecies and even accuse others of being "Satan inspired."

The apostle Jude also wrote of these modern apostates. He declared,
"I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the belief that was once for all entrusted to the saints."

Jude went on,
"For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have SECRETLY SLIPPED IN AMONG YOU. They are men without Elohim, who change the chesed of our Elohim into a license for immorality and DENY Yahushua Mashiach our only Sovereign and Master" (Jude 3-4).

These men scoff at Scriptural prophecy. Jude wrote of them,
"But dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Master Yahushua Mashiach foretold. They said to you, 'In the last times there will be SCOFFERS who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who DIVIDE you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit" (Jude 17-19).

Resurrection from the Dead
The resurrection is additional evidence, and it is perhaps the most convincing vindication of Yahushua’s claims. It is interesting that an Israeli scholar, Pinchas Lapide, wrote a book stating that Yahushua’s resurrection is well within the realm of possibility. After all, he reasoned, the Hebrew Scriptures give a number of accounts of people coming back to life, why not Yahushua as well? Regrettably, Lapide fails to note that the resurrection of Yahushua is described in terms that go far beyond the other stories; and, he fails to come to grips with the fact that Yahushua predicted his own resurrection, which vindicated his claims to be Mashiach.

An assortment of explanations has been offered throughout history to explain away the resurrection as either non-historical (“It never happened.”) or as non-supernatural (“Here’s how it happened.”).

What makes the most sense? Did the Roman authorities steal the body of Yahushua from the tomb? Then why didn’t they produce it when the word started being spread that Yahushua was risen? Or maybe the disciples stole it. But could such a fabrication on their part account for the change in their attitude? Three days earlier they were disillusioned, defeated idealists who had hoped that Yahushua would bring in a new rule and reign of YHUH. Could a lie, which they knew to be a lie, now account for their boldness in the face of official persecution, and for the high ethical standards they set? Would you die for a lie?

Perhaps Yahushua never died: he just fainted on the stake and revived in the tomb. This idea was popularized in the book, The Passover Plot by Hugh Schonfield. Unfortunately the author overlooked the fact that the Romans pierced Yahushua’s side, which would have most certainly killed him. Also, there was a contingent of Roman soldiers guarding the tomb as well as a huge stone that blocked its entrance. There was no way that a grievously injured Yahushua could have escaped and then convinced hundreds of sceptical eyewitnesses that he had conquered death forever! Or was it all a mass hallucination? It must have been quite a hallucination to be seen by vastly different kinds of people at different times of day in many different places. You might be able to fool one person but can you fool five hundred who saw him at one time? And unlike the pattern of hallucinations, these appearances of the resurrected Yahushua stopped as suddenly as they started, forty days after the resurrection took place.

Not only that:

Mat 27:51 And, behold, the veil of Yahuah's House was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the qodesh city, and appeared unto many.
Mat 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Yahushua, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of Elohim.

The only satisfactory explanation is that the resurrection actually occurred, just as the record says. And if that’s the case it’s a solid reason for accepting Yahushua as Mashiach

In the light of Yahushua’s ministry it is possible to understand the true purpose of Mashiach and the real nature of His Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom). Yahushua is not after a worldly Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) in this present, corrupt world but rather He welcomes us to His Father’s New Jerusalem:

1Cor 15:12 Now if Mashiach be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Mashiach not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Mashiach be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your emunah (faith) is also vain.
1Co 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of Elohim; because we have declared of Elohim that he raised up Mashiach: whom he raised not up, if it so be that the dead rise not.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Mashiach raised:
1Co 15:17 And if Mashiach be not raised, your emunah is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Mashiach are perished.
1Co 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Mashiach, we are of all men most miserable.
1Co 15:20 But now is Mashiach risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Mashiach shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Mashiach the firstfruits; afterward they that are Mashiach's at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) to Elohim, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that Elohim may be all in all.
1Co 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
1Co 15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Yahushua Mashiach our Master, I die daily.
1Co 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of Elohim: I speak this to your shame.
1Co 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
1Co 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
1Co 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
1Co 15:38 But Elohim giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
1Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
1Co 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the splendour of the celestial is one, and the splendour of the terrestrial is another.
1Co 15:41 There is one splendour of the sun, and another splendour of the moon, and another splendour of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in splendour.
1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in splendour: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living being; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is Mashiach from shamayim.
1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is those of shamayim, such are they also that are of shamayim.
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of that of shamayim.
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) of Elohim; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have
put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed
up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law (of sin and death).
1Co 15:57But thanks be to Elohim, which giveth us the victory through our Master Yahushua Mashiach.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Mashiach, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Mashiach.

Yehudic Belief is Based Solely on National Revelation

Judaism, unique among all of the world's major religions, maintains that it does not rely on "claims of miracles" as the basis for its religion. Of the thousands of religions in human history only Judaism bases its belief on national revelation – i.e. Elohim speaking to the entire nation. If Elohim is going to start a following it makes sense He'll tell everyone not just one person.

Maimonides states (Foundations of Torah, ch. 8):
The Yehudim did not believe in Moses, our teacher, because of the miracles he performed. Whenever anyone's belief is based on seeing miracles he has lingering doubts because it is possible the miracles were performed through magic or sorcery. All of the miracles performed by Moses in the desert were because they were necessary, and not as proof of his prophecy.
What then was the basis of [Yehudic] belief? The Revelation at Mount Sinai, which we saw with our own eyes and heard with our own ears, not dependent on the testimony of others...as it says, "Face to face, Elohim spoke with you..." The Torah also states: "Elohim did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us – who are all here alive today." (Deut. 5:3)

Judaism is not miracles, it is the personal eyewitness experience of every man, woman and child, standing at Mount Sinai 3,300 years ago.

This “not dependent on the testimony of others”, shows the weakness of Judaism today as it is full of Rabbis and Talmud – testimony of other men, such as Maimonides, quoted above and throughout Yehudic literature! Yehudim today reject the Renewed Covenant and accept the man written Talmuds as an authoritative Word from Elohim despite only having been finished around 400AD, way after Yahushua’a resurrection and the written Renewed Covenant documenting Yahushua’s life and teachings.

Also, it would appear YHUH does not agree with Maimonides as He was angered by the people’s unbelief in His signs:

Num 14:11 And YHUH said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

Not to mention, Yahushua, knowing His fellow Yehudim, stated:

Joh 4:48 Then said Yahushua unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

And these signs and wonders Yahushua provided:

Mat 11:4 Yahushua answered and said unto them, Go and shew Jochanan again those things which ye do hear and see:
Mat 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the good news preached to them.
Mat 11:6 And baruch’d is he whosoever shall not be offended in me.

He also explained Himself further as follows:

Joh 8:12 Then spake Yahushua again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
Joh 8:14 Yahushua answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
Joh 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
Joh 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
Joh 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
Joh 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Joh 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Yahushua saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Joh 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Joh 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
Joh 8:28 Then said Yahushua unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Joh 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
Joh 8:31 Then said Yahushua to those Yehudim which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Joh 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Joh 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Yahushua saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Joh 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of Elohim: this did not Abraham.
Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even Elohim.
Joh 8:42 Yahushua said unto them, If Elohim were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from Elohim; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Joh 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Joh 8:47 He that is of Elohim heareth Elohim's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of Elohim.

Joh 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
Joh 8:52 Then said the Yehudim unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
Joh 8:53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
Joh 8:54 Yahushua answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your Elohim:
Joh 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it and was glad.

Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

John 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?

Now, having quoted from the Talmuds previously in the article I think it’s important to note that some Yehudim and Mashiach (pw Messianic) Yehudim are misled about what the Talmuds really are. Many don't realize the Talmuds were written in the centuries after Yahushua’s resurrection in order to reject Him as Mashiach. Yehudic scholars today claim the Talmud is the oral law in written form. Yet the Talmuds, both the Jerusalem and Babylonian, reject Yahushua as the Mashiach, and Yahushua’s followers were NOT Talmudic.

The Talmudic Yehudim reject Yahushua of the Renewed Covenant yet spend ample space blaspheming Him in the Talmuds. He was the fulfilment of the Old Covenant prophecies yet they couldn't recognize His role as a Suffering Mashiach before He comes as a Conquering Mashiach.

Historians reiterate that the existence of Yahushua is a historic fact. Edwin Yamauchi, one of the world’s leading experts in ancient history, who holds several degrees from Brandeis, is emphatic:

For me, the historical evidence has reinforced my commitment to Jesus Christ as the Son of God who loves us and died for us and was raised from the dead. It’s that simple.”

Ancient manuscript authority Bruce Metzger said that looking at historical Renewed Covenant manuscripts has strengthened his faith in Yahushua. He stated “I’ve asked questions all my life. I’ve dug into the text, I’ve studied this thoroughly, and today I know with confidence that my trust in Jesus has been well placed...very well placed.”

Of course we know the correct name is Yahushua HaMashiach as the Yehudic followers of His day would have called Him.

However, many Yehudim cling to the false belief which states that Yahushua of the Renewed Covenant never existed, but that Yeshu of the Talmud did exist. You can't have it both ways!

Many “Christians” leaving the Jezebel “churches” heading to Mashiach (pw Messianic) congregations don't know it’s no use following the Talmud or Talmudic scholars as they are not useful for Scriptural commentary and are never to be considered superior to Scripture. They are in fact slippery slopes away from To’rah and toward destruction! Get back to To’rah and YHUH’s written Old and Renewed Covenants.

Today's Babylonian Talmud is said to be Judaism's most revered book (actually a collection of books). For some sects its authority takes precedence over the Old Covenant in Judaism. Evidence of this is found in the Talmud itself, Erubin 21b (Soncino edition): "My son, be more careful in the observance of the words of the Scribes than in the words of the Torah (Old Covenant)."

Apart from rejecting Yahushua the Talmud actively discourages people from seeking Elohim. The whole Yehudic system of today is set up so that people are entirely dependent on their rabbis. Everything one studies has to be interpreted by a rabbi after approval has been given for what a person wants to study. What one prays and when one prays is also predetermined. This is reminiscent of the Harlot Church, the Vatican who has done the same in the past.

They claim the Talmud is partly a collection of traditions Moses gave them in oral form and these had not yet been written down in Yahushua’s time. However, Yahushua condemned the traditions of the Mishnah (early Talmud) and those who taught it (Scribes and Pharisees), because it nullified Scriptural teachings.

The Talmud emphasizes study and not works. Simply studying the Torah is seen as keeping it. The Chief Apostle, James, said, faith without works is dead. YHUH’s Rule and Reign (pw Kingdom) is one of service to Him, not being slothful couch potatoes.

Today's Talmud is NOT the ancient oral law, certainly not, as it states:

Maimonides Mishnah Torah, in Chapter 10 of the English Translation, states concerning Yahushua:
"It is a mitzvah [religious duty; ARC], however, to eradicate Yehudic traitors, minnim, and apikorsim, and to cause them to descend to the pit of destruction, since they cause difficulty to the Yehudim and sway the people away from Elohim, as did Jesus of Nazareth and his students, and Tzadok, Baithos, and their students. May the name of the wicked rot."

It continues:
Jesus of Nazareth who aspired to be the Mashiach and was executed by the court was also alluded to in Daniel's prophecies, as ibid. 11:14 states: 'The vulgar among your people shall exalt themselves in an attempt to fulfil the vision, but they shall stumble.”
Can there be a greater stumbling block than Christianity? All the prophets spoke of Mashiach as the redeemer of Israel and their savior who would gather their dispersed and strengthen their observance of the mitzvot. In contrast, Christianity caused the Yehudim to be slain by the sword, their remnants to be scattered and humbled, the Torah to be altered, and the majority of the world to err and serve a god other than the Lord.
Nevertheless, the intent of the Creator of the world is not within the power of man to comprehend, for His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts, our thoughts. Ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite who arose after him will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach's coming and the improvement of the entire world, motivating the nations to serve God together as Tzephaniah 3:9 states: 'I will transform the peoples to a purer language that they all will call upon the name of God and serve Him with one purpose.”

Further disturbing extracts from the Talmuds (I extracted these from Talmuds posted online)

Egyptian Children are disparaged as follows: Yebamoth 98a.
Thus it may be inferred that the All Merciful declared their children to be legally fatherless, for [so indeed it is also] written, Whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

Gittin 69a:
In order to open the blisters to remove the pus, let his friend blow white cress into his mouth with a straw of wheat. And if he wishes to heal the blisters let him bring dirt found in the shade of the bathroom and knead it with honey and eat it, as this is effective for curing the blisters.”

Shabbath 41a. The law regulating the rule for how to urinate in a qodesh way is given.

Yebamoth 63a. States that Adam had sexual intercourse with all the animals in the Garden of Eden, as follows:

R. Eleazar further stated: What is meant by the Scriptural text, This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of my flesh? This teaches that Adam had intercourse with every beast and animal but found no satisfaction until he cohabited with Eve.” Ouch – porcupines and hedgehogs too?

Sanhedrin 54b. A Yehudiy may have sex with a male child as long as the child is less than nine years old.
The Gemara asks: What does it mean that the Torah does not deem a younger boy to be like an older boy? Rav says: It means that the Torah does not deem the intercourse of one who is less than nine years old to be like the intercourse of one who is at least nine years old, as for a male’s act of intercourse to have the legal status of full-fledged intercourse the minimum age is nine years. And Shmuel says: The Torah does not deem the intercourse of a child who is less than three years old to be like that of one who is three years old.

Therefore, just as one who engages in intercourse actively is not liable if he is less than nine years old, as the intercourse of such a child does not have the halakhic status of intercourse, so too, if a child who is less than nine years old engages in homosexual intercourse passively, the one who engages in intercourse with him is not liable.”

Kethuboth 11b. When a grown-up man has intercourse with a little girl it is “nothing”.
R. Oshaia objected: when a grown-up man has had intercourse with a little girl, or when a small boy has intercourse with a grown-up woman, or when a girl was accidentally injured by a piece of wood — [in all these cases] their kethubah is two hundred [zuz]; so according to R. Meir. but the sages say: a girl who was injured accidentally by a piece of wood — her kethubah is a maneh! Raba said, It means this: When a grown-up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing, for when the girl is less than this, it is as if one puts the finger into the eye.”

Yebamoth 59b. A woman who had intercourse with a beast is eligible to marry a Yehudic priest.
R. Shimi b. Hiyya stated: A woman who had intercourse with a beast is eligible to marry a priest. Likewise it was taught: A woman who had intercourse with that which is no human being, though she is in consequence subject to the penalty of stoning, is nevertheless permitted to marry a priest.

Abodah Zarah 17a states: “Surely it has been taught: It was said of R. Eleazar b. Dordia that he did not leave out any harlot in the world without coming to her.”

Hagigah 27a. States that no rabbi can ever burn in Gehenna (hell), as follows:
Rabbi Abbahu said that Rabbi Elazar said: The fire of Gehenna has no power over Torah scholars. This can be derived by an a fortiori inference from the salamander [salamandra], a creature created out of fire and immune to its effects, and whose blood is fireproof: If a salamander, which is merely a product of fire, and nevertheless when one anoints his body with its blood, fire has no power over him, all the more so should fire not have any power over Torah scholars, whose entire bodies are fire...”

Gittin 70a. “The Sages taught: With regard to one who comes in from the bathroom, he should not engage in sexual intercourse until he waits the measure of time it takes to walk half a mile because the demon of the bathroom accompanies him. And if he engaged in sexual intercourse without waiting this measure of time he has children who are epileptic.”

Well, enough said on that. Let’s now go to more secular views of why the Renewed Covenant Yahushua is said to have existed and is said to be Mashiach.

The phrase, "The Bible's been translated and recopied so many times" is used against anyone quoting the Renewed Covenant (New Testament). And yet, today we know for certain that the Renewed Covenant has been handed down accurately. How?

This can be proved academically. There are two misconceptions about the transmission of ancient documents like the Renewed Covenant. The first assumption is that the transmission is more or less linear, as in telephonic exchange-one person communicating to a second who communicates with a third, etc. In this linear model people are left with one message and many generations between it and the original. Secondly, telephonic exchange depends on oral transmission which is more easily distorted and misconstrued than something written.

Neither assumption applies to the written text of the Renewed Covenant. Firstly, transmission was not linear but geometric, ie. one letter had 5 copies which became 25 which became 200 and so on. Secondly, the transmission in question was done in writing, and written manuscripts can be tested in a way that oral communications can not. In the Yehudic culture it was important that a teacher’s actual words were carefully preserved and passed down. A good pupil was like a “plastered cistern that loses not a drop.” Mishna, Aboth, ii,8.

An example to show how scholars can confidently reconstruct the text from existing manuscript copies (even though the copies themselves have differences and are older than the original) is as follows:

An important written secret recipe is given to close friends, who, in turn, then make a written copy for their friends. All this happens within the lifetime of the original recipe writer. The original written recipe is destroyed in some disaster and then a search is made for all existing copies to reconstruct the original. Twenty-six copies are found. Twenty-three of the copies are exactly the same. One has a misspelled word, though, one has two phrases inverted ("mix then chop" instead of "chop then mix") and one includes an ingredient that none of the others has.

Here is the critical question: Can the original recipe be reconstructed? Yes! The misspelled words can easily be corrected, the single inverted phrase can be repaired, and the extra ingredient can be ignored.

Even with more numerous or more diverse variations the original can still be reconstructed with a high level of confidence given the right textual evidence. The misspellings would be obvious errors, the inversions would stand out and can easily be restored, and it's more plausible that one word or sentence be accidentally added to a single copy than omitted from many.

This, simply, is how textual criticism works. Textual critics are academics who reconstruct a missing original from existing manuscripts that are generations removed from the original. According to Renewed Covenant scholar F.F. Bruce, "Its object [is] to determine as exactly as possible from the available evidence the original words of the documents in question."

The science of textual criticism is used to test all documents of antiquity-not just religious texts-including historical and literary writings. It's not a theological enterprise based on haphazard hopes and guesses; it's a linguistic exercise that follows a set of established rules. Textual criticism allows an alert critic to determine the extent of possible corruption of any work.

The ability of any scholar to do effective textual criticism depends on two factors. First, how many existing copies are there to examine and compare? The more copies there are, the easier it is to make meaningful comparisons. Second, how close in time are the oldest existing documents to the original? If the numbers are few and the time gap is wide, the original is harder to reconstruct with confidence. However, if there are many copies and the oldest existing copies are reasonably close in time to the original, the textual critic can be more confident he's pinpointed the exact wording of the original.

To get an idea of the scale of the Renewed Covenant manuscript evidence, think for a moment on the record for non-biblical texts, secular texts from antiquity that have been reconstructed with a high degree of certainty based on the available textual evidence.

The important First Century document The Jewish War, by Yehudic aristocrat and historian Josephus, survives in only nine complete manuscripts dating from the 5th Century-four centuries after being written. Tacitus' Annals of Imperial Rome is one of the chief historical sources for the Roman world of Renewed Covenant times, yet, surprisingly, it survives in partial form in only two manuscripts dating from the Middle Ages. Thucydides' History survives in eight copies. There are ten copies of Caesar's Gallic Wars, eight copies of Herodotus' History, and seven copies of Plato, all dated over a millennium from the original. Homer's Iliad has the most impressive manuscript evidence for any secular work with 647 existing copies.

FF Bruce's comments puts this into perspective: "No classical scholar would listen to an argument that the authenticity of Herodotus or Thucydides is in doubt because the earliest manuscripts of their works which are of any use to us are over 1300 years later than the originals."

For most documents of antiquity only a handful of manuscripts exist, some facing a time gap of 800-2000 years or more. Yet scholars are confident of reconstructing the originals with some significant degree of accuracy. In fact, virtually all of our knowledge of ancient history depends on documents like these.

The Biblical Manuscript Evidence
The Renewed Covenant material is unashamedly abundant in comparison to secular works. The most recent count (2004) showed around 5,600 separate Greek manuscripts represented by early fragments, uncial codices (manuscripts in capital Greek letters bound together in book form), and minuscules (small Greek letters in cursive style).
Among the nearly 3,000 minuscule fragments are 34 complete Renewed Covenants dating from the 9th to the 15th Centuries.

Uncial manuscripts provide virtually complete codices (multiple books of the Renewed Covenant bound together into one volume) back to the 4th Century, though some are a bit younger. Codex Sinaiticus, purchased by the British government from the Soviet government at Christmas, 1933, for £100,000, is dated c.340. The nearly complete Codex Vaticanus is the oldest uncial, dated c.325-350. Codex Alexandrinus contains the whole Old Testament and a nearly complete Renewed Covenant and dates from the late 4th Century to the early 5th Century.

The most fascinating evidence comes from the fragments (as opposed to the codices). The Chester Beatty Papyri contains most of the Renewed Covenant and is dated around 155 AD The Bodmer Papyri II collection, whose discovery was announced in 1956, includes the first fourteen chapters of the Gospel of John and much of the last seven chapters. It dates from 200 AD or earlier.

The most amazing find of all, however, is a small portion of John 18:31-33, discovered in Egypt known as the John Rylands Papyri. Barely three inches square it represents the earliest known copy of any part of the Renewed Covenant. The papyri is dated on paleographical grounds at around 117-138 AD (though it may even be earlier), showing that the Gospel of John was circulated as far away as Egypt within 30 years of its composition.

Keep in mind that most of the papyri are fragmentary. Only about 50 manuscripts contain the entire Renewed Covenant, though most of the other manuscripts contain the four Gospels. Even so, the manuscript textual evidence is exceedingly rich, especially when compared to other works of antiquity.

The discoveries have come to show the Renewed Covenant to have been written within a generation of the time of Mashiach and further archaeological discoveries have confirmed their accuracy.

William F Albright, who was the world’s foremost biblical archaeologist, writes “We can already say emphatically that there is no longer any solid basis for dating any book of the Renewed Covenant after about 80 AD, two full generations before the date between 130 and 150 AD given by the more radical New Testament critics of today.”

Archaeologist, Sir William Ramsay, after observing the meticulous historical details found in Luke’s writings (he was also the author of Acts, a continuation of Luke) that he concluded “Luke is a historian of the first rank...This author should be placed along with the very greatest historians.” Because of the book’s accuracy on the minutest details Ramsay finally conceded that Acts could not be a second century document but belonged rather in the mid-first century.

Bishop John AT Robinson’s conclusions in his book, Re-dating the New Testament, are startlingly radical. His research led to his conviction that the whole of the Renewed Covenant was written before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Ancient Versions and Patristic Quotations
Two other cross checks on the accuracy of the manuscripts remain: ancient versions and citations by the early congregational fathers, known as "patristic quotations."

Early in the history, Greek documents, including the Scriptures, were translated into Latin. By the 3rd and 4th Centuries the Renewed Covenant was translated into Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, Georgian, etc. These texts helped missionaries reach new cultures in their own language as the good news spread and the congregations grew. Translations of the Greek manuscripts (called "versions") help modern-day textual critics answer questions about the underlying Greek manuscripts.

In addition, there are ancient extra-biblical sources - characteristically catechisms, lectionaries, and quotes from the congregational fathers - that record the Scriptures. Paul Barnett says that the "Scriptures...gave rise to an immense output of early Christian literature which quoted them at length and, in effect, preserved them." Metzger notes the amazing fact that "if all other sources for our knowledge of the text of the New Testament were destroyed, [the patristic quotations] would be sufficient alone for the reconstruction of practically the entire New Testament."

The Verdict
What can we conclude from all the evidence? Any remaining differences upon comparison of originals and copies virtually all yield to vigorous textual criticism. This means that our Renewed Covenant is 99.5% textually pure. In the entire text of 20,000 lines, only 40 lines are in doubt (about 400 words), and none affects any significant doctrine.

A.N. Sherwin-White, a classical historian, writes that “for Acts the confirmation of historicity is overwhelming. Any attempt to reject its basic historicity even in matters or detail must now appear absurd. Roman historians have long taken it for granted.”

This issue is no longer contested by non-Christian scholars, and for good reason. Simply put, if we reject the authenticity of the Renewed Covenant on textual grounds we'd have to reject every ancient work of antiquity and declare null and void every piece of historical information from written sources prior to the beginning of the second millennium AD.

A nice video which shows a good overview of the historicity of Yahushua can be found here:

Finally – a plea from Sha’ul (Paul) to Ruler Agrippa which had him nearly converting to being a Yehudiy believing in Yahushua:

Act 26:3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Yehudim: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
Act 26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Yehudim;
Act 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
Act 26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of Yahuah unto our fathers:
Act 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving Yahuah day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, Ruler Agrippa, I am accused of the Yehudim.
Act 26:8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that Yahuah should raise the dead?
Act 26:9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Yahushua of Nazareth.
Act 26:10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
Act 26:11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
Act 26:12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
Act 26:13 At midday, O Ruler, I saw in the way a light from shamayim, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Sha’ul, Sha’ul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Act 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Master? And he said, I am Yahushua whom thou persecutest.
Act 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Act 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto Yahuah, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Act 26:19 Whereupon, O Ruler Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the vision from shamayim:
Act 26:20 But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to Yahuah, and do works meet for repentance.
Act 26:21 For these causes the Yehudim caught me in Yahuah's House, and went about to kill me.
Act 26:22 Having therefore obtained help of Yahuah, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
Act 26:23 That Mashiach should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
Act 26:24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
Act 26:25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
Act 26:26 For the Ruler knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
Act 26:27 Ruler Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
Act 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a follower (Christianos).
Act 26:29 And Paul said, I would to Yahuah, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am (follower of Yahushua), except these bonds.
Act 26:30 And when he had thus spoken, the Ruler rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
Act 26:31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
Act 26:32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at freedom, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

If a Ruler felt this way after hearing Sha’ul then what is stopping anyone else from accepting the truth?

The Future Commonwealth of Israel

Between the objective evidence of the Hebrew Old Covenant Scriptures, Renewed Covenant, external historic sources and the subjective verification in our own lives we think there’s ample proof that Yahushua was who He claimed to be.

Because He provides atonement for sin and reconciliation with Elohim, Yahushua brings shalom, gladness and purpose into people’s lives. Apart from emunah in Him there is no basis for true shalom or direction, for as the Psalmist says,

Man is estranged from the womb.” That this estrangement is healed by the reconciling ministry of Yahushua is the common experience of those who believe in Him.

Wait, there's more. Okay, Isaiah 60 to 66. Let's' start with:

Isa 60:6  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of YHUH.
60:7  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will magnify the house of my splendour.

Prophecy of Yahushua as Massiach fulfilled as described above:
Mat 2:1  Now when Yahushua was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2:2  Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
2:11  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Miriam his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Luke 2:8  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
2:9  And, lo, the angel of YHUH came upon them, and the splendour of YHUH shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
2:10  And the malak (angel) said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great gladness, which shall be to all people.
2:11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Massiach your Master.

Now:
Isa 61:1  The Spirit of YHUH is upon me; because YHUH hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
61:2  To proclaim the acceptable year of YHUH, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim; to comfort all that mourn;
61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of YHUH, that he might be magnified.

Prophecy of Yahushua as Massiach fulfilled again:
Luke 4:16  And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
4:17  And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
4:18  The Spirit of YHUH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
4:19  To preach the acceptable year of YHUH.
4:20  And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
4:21  And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
4:22  And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Yoseph's son?

Also:
Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in YHUH, my soul shall be glad in my Elohim; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Yahushua is our bridegroom:

Joh 3:27  John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from shamayim (heaven).
3:28  Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not Massiach, but that I am sent before him.
3:29  He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my gladness therefore is fulfilled.
3:30  He must increase, but I must decrease.

Okay, next chapter:

Isa 62:8  YHUH hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength,

Acts 5:31  Him (Yahushua) hath YHUH exalted with
his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Ephesians 1:20  Which he wrought in Massiach, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the shamayim (heavenly) places

Isa 62:10  Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Prophecy of Yahushua as Massiach fulfilled:
Mat 3:1  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
3:2  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of shamayim (heaven) is at hand.
3:3  For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Massiach, make his paths straight.

Now for a greater prophecy:
Isa 63:1  Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
Isa 63:2  Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

Yahushua returns a second time as follows:
Rev 19:11  And I saw shamayim (heaven) opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of YHUH.
19:14  And the armies which were in shamayim (heaven) followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty YHUH.
19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, RULER OF RULERS, AND MASTER OF MASTERS.
19:17  And I saw a malak (angel) standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great Elohim.

Yes, indeed these chapters speak of the return of the Jews, and of all 12 tribes of Israel I believe, at the end times to the promised land. Part of that, however, will also be the following:

Zec 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of chesed (grace) and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zec 13:1  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

This can only be talking of Yahushua Massiach who was pierced, as it is the house of David and Jerusalem who do the mourning and it is they who have not realised over all that time that their Massiach had been Yahushua and will be returning a second time. One day Israel as a people will enjoy security and shalom when they as a nation return to the Son of David, Mashiach Yahushua, even as prophesied in Hosea 3:5:

Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek YHUH their Elohim and David their Ruler. They shall fear YHUH and His goodness in the latter days.

May you all rejoice and enjoy the riches of His salvation. May you be adopted by the Father through his Son Mashiach to be a peculiar people and set-apart nation, to become co-heirs and share in the inheritance with Mashiach. Amein.
